and to the topic starter, if i had that much cash to throw around, im pretty sure i could find a way to make a fast and reliable honda DD
the sad truth is that anything as new as your looking at is going to cost quite a bit to insure because there still actualy worth something, but if you want reliable, go for the buick
buick is all my family has owned (aside from me of course ) and i swear you cant kill them if you tried, if you want reliable and good gas mileage, get a honda and if you want quick, add a turbo, boost low and call it a day, i have yet to find another car that's gotten as good gas mileage as my hondas have and be as reliable.
my H22 EG hatch got 43 MPG on a trip from oregon to nebraska, 43MPG! add a light weight flywheel and six puck to one of those and theres your reliability, your gas mileage, and your decently fast car all in one package

i think the gtp is the way to go, put a bigger pulley on it and possibly an exhaust cutout ( if there arent 2 o2 sensors then i'll have to figure somethin out) and im sure it would be a fun quick daily driver car. plus the new bodystle looks really clean, cept the rear thats kinda ugly, i wanna get the gxp, 5.2 liter v8 with 303 hp but those are 26k, and i cant wait a year for the price to drop.
