Default New car, Old car, Home made naws. (56k end yourself)

2 weeks ago I got a 89 240sx for 700 because it's got a spun bearing. I plan to swap in a ka24de and turbo it.. by the end I hope to put down 450whp at 25-30 psi.

Untill then, here's some pics.

Here's me looking like a queer yet excessively excited at with my new car.

My dad

Teh hotness

I need to put in a stereo, but other than that the interior is perfect.... o. short shifter too.

four seats... I've been missing that in my crx

15" somethings... When theyre all cleaned up they'll look nice... time for new tires though.. I have a pirelli on the front right.. spare tire back right, and daytonas? on the left side.

I'm excited for the dohc swap. I got the motor for it for 415 shipped. Not bad

Awwww

And now for the beast that towed this thing home..

1998 suburban 2500. Supercharged 454 on 6 psi of boost. we had it on 8 for a while but it was pinging like a ****. On 6 psi it's putting somewhere around 500whp though.. It goes pretty well for a 6,000 pound car.

Headers, flowmasters and a K&N to help it breathe.

Here's the fun part.....
So I read a while ago here... http://www.geocities.com/calgarycivics/NOS.html about homemade nos. I really wanted to do it but didn't have a motor to destroy.

While I was sitting around one day I realized.. hey! I have a motor that's fucked anyways.. why not try it on that?
So.. We set up the whip cream nos for my ka24e with a spun bearing.

Here it is taped on with thick electrical tape because the hose was too small and i couldnt get it on without spilling out my nos .

Here you can see where it is on the intake. I just pulled off a hose that wasn't doing anything important.

Don't forget to notice the jumper cables connecting the battery to the wires in the car.... the way the new battery was oriented, the wires wouldnt fit.. so we just clamped on jumper cables and taped it up to hopefully avoid a short.

This was just after we got back.... Because it had a spun bearing, getting up to 25mph was a challenge in it's self.. at 4k rpms i thought I was going to die. The whip cream didn't do ---- to the engine good or bad, but somehow even though it was straight up, we had whip cream pouring out of the tape.
I'm trying to turn the car back on because along with no brake fluid, I leaked out whichever fluid does the clutch.. the clutch was stuck on the ground and you couln't get it in gear when it was on. O well.. we had like 6 people to push it back home. That thing was so loud though! I thought the rod was going to fly out of the block at any time.

That's my bro holding the whip cream, me driving, and my friend in the back.

Mayb next time I'll use more whip cream cans at the same time and make a direct port setup.

The whip cream pictures didn't show up last time I read the thread. Now that I see em, you guys remind me of the little rascals.

If you don't already, start calling your friend in the passenger seat "spanky". It seems fitting.

The ka24de is good for fi..... Because of it's long stroke and big displacement it makes a shitload of torque. Also, the rods from the factory are forged and can hold 500 hp. for 400 all you really need is pistons and good headwork.

The sr20 can blow me.... They are less efficent, smaller motors, and you have to put a ton of money into just getting it swapped.
