i dunno... all the camaro needs is a clutch and put back together...

i was either thinking single turbo IROC

or that corolla rebuilt and turbocharged.

i kinda like the idea of the corolla... i think it may be easier to turbocharge it than an IROC... and i want to try road racing.. i know the iroc could be fine at the track with some enw springs and shocks but i kinda like these ae86s.

i dunno which... if i could get this corolla for cheap it'd be great... ppl want too much for old ass IROCS that run like ------- and look like crap or need new trannies.

another thing about the irocs is the rear end and trannys are garbage.

swap ur self a nice high compretion mr2 motor in the 86, or some other motor besides jus rebuilding the stock one... its garbage and you'll never get the tires to spin. i doubt the stock motor will even handle the turbo. this guy down the street from me got a supra motor to fit in that badboy and i swear on my life that ---- was the fastest thing ever lol jk. but it was damn fast..

im sure the stocker would be just as good as any honda engine with a turbocharger. NA i4 = GARBAGE. 20:1 compression running nitro... still garbage :/

Re:new car

Johnny I cant see you driving that thing.. lol, oh well

That Camaro has been sitting in your garage for like 2 years only needing a clutch, it baffles me why you wouldnt buy a clutch and finish that? I thought that thing was like a 12second car, wouldnt you rather be driving that? ???

Re:new car

I've worked on those shitty corollas before.. maybe not the hyped model but I remember it was a 1.5 litre single carb pile of ----.. but whatever floats your boat dude.

Yes the IROC cars have some known problems. The early years of the 4L60 truly sucked, especially in that 84ish era. I forget what the rear ends were, some crappy 12 bolt?

Anyways, IROC cars are cheap and plentifull in arkansas but I just prefer to drive a 4x4 truck instead :P

Re:new car

the ae86 would never be a good drag car without a lot of money, they are very slow! a guy around here has a nice one with a lot of money in to the engine and i think he puts down 100 hp to the wheels, they are popular and well liked b/c of drifting, they're really light and rear wheel drive, you see plenty on the drifting courses, but not on the drag strip ;)

Re:new car

you all hate on toyotas :-\ my freinds 3sge we swaped into his mr2 was running 15psi daily and 20 at the strip and it took him like 4 months of tottaly raping it to blow that fucker up. it was just a stock toyota motor that cost 500 dollars.

if you put a toyota motor with bucket valves in it make sure you dont rev to redline all the time. they drop valve shims but its pretty hard to get them to do that.

buy it and have fun with it. expecialy if its like 300 dollars. that could be an invesement you could part that bitch out on toyota fourms.

everyday??? it gets 4 mpg highway and 0 city.
another reason is id have to buy insurance for a month, then buy new tags and everything. the tags on it are from 01.

it also pings on 92 octane :/

it takes 30ish dollars to fill the tank + a couple bottle sof octane booster.

one time i drove it to the local in town car show... it had a 1/4 tank. i drove to the show (2 miles) to the store (3 miles) back to the show (3 more miles) and i ran outta gas as i pulled into the spot i had reserved.

i had to walk to the gas station and get gas :/

lol

i have never watched intial D in my life.

i want a RWD car, and ive seen these engine bays they're pretty open... the engine bay in a IROC is pretty crammed.

Re:new car

that car you just put up is a Celica Supra. the 7mgte is from the mk3 supra late 80's.

the celica gts from that time came with the 22r its about 120hp its still a fun car. you could always swap in whatever you wanted to. toyota motors are sort of a bitch to work on but once you take it apart and leave all the brackets and ---- you dont need off of it its fine.

theres an 85 gts celica in my town im thinking about picking up
