New breed of sleeper

Re:New breed of sleeper
I thought of this a while back, and I am not saying that I was the original person to think of this, but the ultimate sleeper is either a nissan sentra with daytons and a huge and a screw on muffler tip with a fully built turbo nitrous engine pushing like 30 psi and making 500 some horses.
who has saw the video of "the caravan">? lol
thats some good ---- right there.,

Re:New breed of sleeper
I've thought of that same thing. I have not done one other thing to my car in addition to the turbo and exhaust. No rims, no bodykit, no clear corners nothing. I built it with one purpose, to pick on ricers and mustangs/camaros. But I have wondered myself if I could have a little bit more fun if I got some neon and those led squirters....then I came to my senses and realized I don't want that ---- fast car or not!!!
BTW, I do need to get some pics posted of my completed kit sometime.

Re:New breed of sleeper
My additional thoughts. $1000 for body kit and new paint. $500+ for new rims. $100000000 for various stickers and JDM products. That is like a full engine build or a nice turbo setup. I say instead of putting the effort forth in ricing your car out to make it look like a sleeper....how bout spending the money on your engine and making it even more kick ***? Personally i think a car should be stock except for some very tasteful rims that are about 15"(personally i will never buy rims for a honda) and some coilovers to lower it for a lil better handling...otherwise im the bodykit **** and i say they suck -------. I've driven around for nearly a year w/ a busted up door and i dont plan on fixing it. body work and paint costs too much money

I like show cars, they have their place. but going fast is rarely one of them. there is a 89 sentra s-er with a FR Sr20det on a lot of boost, and a 75shot that comes to my street races. he's running mid 10's he got hit up by a viper gts two sundays ago and beat him by 6-8 cars. it was fantastic.
the ultimate sleeper car would be an 83 VW golf, with a VR6 or corrado G60 swap and about 30 PSI, maybe a bit of a shot on top of that. the mounts are already there, and there is room in those wheelwells for some fairly wide drag radials. plus, that that kind of boost you'd be running an air to water intercooler anyway, so you wouldn't necessarily have a large front mount. the dash already has a crevice just under the glove box big enough for guages. and it doesn't weigh a damn thing. not to mention that you can use porshe suspension with no modification. you'd run sub 10's if you could get traction.

Re:New breed of sleeper
When I get my turbo setup finished, I have a friend who stole an apc sticker... he actually wanted it .. HAHAHA. well i am going to put that in the window with some scotch tape..that and some spinner hubs with the original honda 14s. maybe a couple of bullet hole stickers too. and cant forget the fast and furious air freshner... you know that could be false advertising... that air freshner is neither fast nor furious.. hmmm..
as it is, with the n/a civic, i would pull up to stock v6 mustangs that think they have something special and say... "hey, mustang... right? my mom just bought me this car after we watched The fast and the furious last night. she says i have to take it slow though, cause its supa fast!! "
on another note, i have pulled up to my friends rex, (knowing i would get beat) and said "nice car... whats the retail on one of those?"

Hey Mary, Does the reference to the prom dress mean you get alot of attention wearing it or that he should wear one to get attention. I know you would and I know he would but I think he would get beat up and you would get hit on.

Hey Rollmodel you aren't from SC are you? I saw the exact car. To make things worse he flies up on my bumper like he gonna give me a run. I just left it in third spooled up to 9 psi and watched him shrink. And as for the v6 mustangs and your stock civic were they autos? When I was NA, I had the z6 in my 95 cx...ran 9.8 1/8th times stock. I saw several v6 mustangs run 9.5ish times stock too. The v6s have better gearing, almost identical to SI gearing. Just a thought a few things about your post caught my attention sorry.

Re:New breed of sleeper
my friends doin that in his 1g laser. (eclipse/talon). once he finihses up rebuilding his whole motor and all the upgrades and such, hes just gunna primer it and throw a big aluminum wing on there until he gets his kit next winter. and of course we're gunna add some "type r" stickers just to rellllly make it scream rice. haha. that'll be funny seeing moostang gt's and stock coberas drop like flys after revving at him.
