Re: New biuld w/ pics
That will be a nice build/setup. What are your power goals for the engine?
|
Re: New biuld w/ pics
Wow.That looks like a pretty serious build you got going there.Pretty baller for HMT.Couple questions.1-What color did you paint the block? 2-What color did you paint the vavle cover as both look great.Last where did you buy the Morosos oil pan and how much are they?Keep the updates coming it looks like this is going to come out nicely.
Edit- Are you building the motor in your living room? |
Re: New biuld w/ pics

Edit- Are you building the motor in your living room? I'm not sure of the block color, I'll ask the machine shop when i pick up my head because they painted it. Valve cover is. cupli-color #T177 I got the pan off of Ebay for like 130 shipped. Yes i'm building my motor in my dining room, Live in apartment and have no were else to do it. you should see my what the people around me think when they see me lifting the engine off the deck with the lift and dropping it into the car. Kinda funny |
Re: New biuld w/ pics
O and my goals really aren't anything high, 250whp daily I just over biult it so i knew i have nothing to worrie about, but in the summer i can seeit hit 300 if the turbo can push it.
|
Re: New biuld w/ pics
that engine on race gas....i could see 450whp out of it. i would go alot bigger on the injectors. 450 is the "standard".
why did you get new mounts and inserts? |
Re: New biuld w/ pics
Holy hell, all that for 250HP as a daily driver?
You could pump at least 400HP out of that monster. Just dont choke it with a small turby. |
Re: New biuld w/ pics
Wow thats nice...If you're already putting this money into it, you might as well get a little more than 250 out of it. But to each his own....

sweet ass build though. |
Re: New biuld w/ pics
nothing wrong with 250 in a street car, as long as when you hit the high boost switch your EBC that push 350+ hp :-)

Re: New biuld w/ pics
I ended up runing low on cash thats why i didn't go with a vtec head, I used the money for wheels / suspention. I'm sure some time down the road (next fall) i'll end up swapping a SI head on to it, But for now i just want the thing running, haven't been on the road in over a month.

|
Re: New biuld w/ pics
I'll be running stock LS cams, I plan on switching to a SI head in the fall or next winter so i'm not going to put anymore money in the head then i already have.
|

looks good, but if you get that vtec head it will gangsta
|
Re: New biuld w/ pics
an ls head with big giant cams would make as much power as a vtec head with same overall lift once it hits vtec. vtec is just a good way to have a fucked up lean spot and make it a pain in the ass to tune. i would rather run an ls head with big cams and lope than be jdm tight for using something with a cool name. vtec is over rated.
