New best time in 1/4 mile

I finally got in to the 14s with a 14.255 8). My prevouis best was a 15.05@ like 94mph, so I was pretty happy. Here is what my time slip looked like.

1.630----reaction
2.238-----60 ft
9.219----1/8 ET
79.38----1/8 MPH
14.255----1/4 ET
95.91-----1/4 MPH

My setup is 92 hatch w/stock b16a2 intercooled running 9psi and open 2.5inch downpipe. 205/50/15 dunlop sp 9000.
I onley got to make one run at the track before it started rainning. I was running 7psi before withe 185 stock tire and a 2.25 exaughst. I think that is why i ran so slow before.
Also Crome's FTL feature helped out a lot, I felt so much quicker coming of the line. Hopefully with buter driveing i can break 13s :y.... But then i will need to get a helmet to run at the track.

I agree. Good times no doubt, but your 60's are too good and traps to low for that set up. Should be mid low 13s easy.

So have I. Did they get that time with poor 60 foots (worst of the day outta 3 runs) and all while missing 3rd gear too? Give me time cracka. I'll get it. Don't exaggerate. It makes you sound silly. Oh yea, I love you. :-*

samson just think of it this way, atleast your car made it to the track. Hotrex blows them up or sells the motors before they see a track

Re: New best time in 1/4 mile

thats fine, the track is 2.5 hrs from my house. i work all the time and just never make it.

lacal street races are far better than the track anyhow, but just for you, ill def be bringing the teg to the track this spring, and shooting forsomething in the 11s

You do realize you're also comparing a boosted D to a boosted B, right? :1 :8

haha true.. we'll see though, hotrex seems pretty determined about his setup.

Hey samson, we'll have to run the civic versus the sl2 someday and see how she does :l

Back on topic, nice run man, always open to improvement, good luck :6

I have seen plenty all motor b16a run quicker then 14s. Buddy of mine ran all motor b16a in his hatch and hit 13.8. Yours should be able to do around the same times if boosted. My D series turbo does 14.2-14.5 all day at 8 psi.

man i thought you had a turbo iroc from your user name :P

but i definitely see better times from you in the future. There is no way you setup is running at full potential

I should have added that my turbo is a t3 .48ar/60. And i have full interior minus my spare tire, and I also have a/c that i probably would have ditched by now if it wasn't for my girlfreind.

Just wondering if your reaction time has anything to do with 60ft times?

no. to somewhat keep the two related and distinguish the two, reaction time is just telling you how long it takes for you to start on you 60ft.
