New 92 Laser
 

I recently had the chance to purchase this car so i jumped at it. Its a 92 Awd 5 spd Plymouth laser. It has the 6 bolt 4g63 engine equipped with a 14b turbo. It has a stage 1 Bushur racing transmission with a 2100 act clutch. It also has a full 3 inch exhaust. I was surprised on how quick this little baby was. Shes not the best looking car but def. the best driving/handeling car ive ever drove. Let me know what you guys think. Oh and for the people who were trying to help me figure out what the white smoke was/ it was a bad turbo. Shes drives like a champ now. Thanks

I have the same looking car except its a 94 eclipse sohc none turbo, I wish it had a turbo. but I only pay $300, and all the parts needed to get pass it inspection was free and I already spanked a few na cars with it.

its a good car how much for it?

paint job ??? black and blue on the fender too. just get it repainted and it will look as good as it drives ;)

Sounds like a nice ride.Wheels and paint and your golden.I had a Laser before but it was FWD turbo and it was def a nice car to drive as it was really solid up at 130-140miles an hour.

I had a 1g talon before, was very surprised with it. It was basically stock just had an aftermarket boost controller and 3 inch exhaust and i was rapeing mustang gt's every chance I got.

Well considering a worn out 11 year old rice burner spanked the ---- out of a new sports car, well yeah that impressed me. But on the other hand, all of the electrical problems in the car made it a nightmare :3

mustangs are not sports cars.

and a turbo dsm with exhaust and a boost controller will not beat a "new" mustang

Well what category does a mustang fall under, an economical coupe? I had this car in 02, the gt's at the time had like 260 flywheel h.p. The talon with an exhaust and a boost controller (and gReddy bov) can, and did beat an 02 gt. My bad, maybe I should have said it wasn't an 05' in the beggining. :1

late model mustangs are pony cars? coupes? if you want to go crazy muscle cars?

what time did you run in your talon? i know stock 02ish mustangs are capable of about 14 flat.

Dunno actually, I blew the car up before I got a chance to take it and find out. I bought the car from a kid for 1500 bucks, he claimed it ran low 13's, but i'm not sure. My friend had the 02 stang and we'd always ---- around on the street. I'd get him outta the hole and and have about a 3-4 car lead on him and it'd stay like that until i was in 5th gear, then he'd pull on me. But ---- that was beyond a 1/4 mile. I guess the turbo fell off and wasnt making any power past that?

probably ran out of gearing

i bet you could get into the low 13s with a hard launch and a lot of boost :)

the 6 bolt dsm has alot of potential. I dont know what other cars you have driven to say that the talon is the best handling/driving car you have driven :l But there are some many hybrid bolt on turbo options out there for them now 400 hp isnt that hard to get to or expensive. Just watch out they love to kill the diffs and the 2100 wont last long making any kind of power.

Yeah I've seen some crazy ---- with the awd's. Scary, seems like ---- would be breaking they launch so hard. Not to mention what you can squeeze out of the stock setup with an aftermarket b.o.v. and boost controller. But yeah, dsmtuners.com, they have some interesting ---- on there.

Yeah the car rode horribly, it would beat the hell outta you, haha.
