Antec P182 case
Intel Quad Q6600 2.4ghz turbo-boosted to 3.6ghz (400 x 9)
8gb (4 x 2gb) gSkill DDR2 800 4-4-4-12
512mb Radeon 4850 (I don't care for gaming)
Gigabyte EP45-UD3P mobo
OCZ Vendetta2 CPU cooler
Arctic Silver 5 grease
3 x Scythe fluid bearing 120mm fans (2 in case, 1 on cpu cooler)
3 x 1TB Western Digital Caviar Black
1 x 500gb Samsung
Corsair TX750

Photo of case since I don't take pictures of the PC:

I got tired of the flashy lights after 15 minutes with my old PC. Decided to make this one fast and quiet, and did a damn good job.

2GB of Gaming DDR500 ram @ 600Mhz
250GB Hard Drive

Cantenna hooked up to a d-link 108mbps card. Got 25mbps download speeds via wifi from my neighbor.
This PC was sold for $1000.

How the hell do you sleep with all those lights. I get pissed at the light in my surge protector and the red led that tells me my tv is off (yeah wtf, I have to know when the tv is off?)

Why the hell a phenom? AMD has been behind in performance for a while now. The intel q6600 is the best bang-for-buck quad-core, especially if you aren't scared of overclocking. I paid $180 for it and turned 2.4ghz into 3.6ghz. Intel is also top with the dual cores, but I'm not sure which is the best value for those.

Yeah, who builds a new PC for performance anyway :S

I've never understood the fanboy ----. When I built my first computer, AMD>Intel and ATI>nvidia, so that's what I went with. If I would have built one last year, it would have been Intel and nvidia. At the moment it's Intel and ATI, so that's what was used.

Brand loyalty is borderline retarded when it comes to PC components. Get your money's worth.
