Need wiring help/home fluorescent lamp

Ok so my friend found this big ass light fixture in his basement and wants to use it for medicinal purposes.

It already has the ballasts in it, the problem is we still need a little more to plug it in a get it working (besides bulbs). Here's a picture of the 4 loose wires that need to be plugged in the outlet eventually (I think, what else could they be for) They are labeled as going to "line" on this wiring diagram that was on the ballast

Here are the 4 wires that are not connected, one black and one white from each of the 2 ballasts.

Here are pictures of the ends of the ballasts. The yellow, blue, and red wires are already hooked up within the fixture going to where the ends of the bulbs will plug in, so I don't think I need to do anything with those.

And here is a picture of the outlet, or where I think the wires are gonna come out of the whole fixture.

I know someone here knows how to do this! I was thinking about just wiring them straight into the outlet but figured I'd ask before I kill myself. Help!

So the white's positive and black is negative? How do you ground it?

And can I run the black and white wires in parallel connecting them together?

you should run at least 14-3 wire or 12-3 wire is even better to the light. it has three wires in it, white is neutral, black is 120V and the uncoated wire goes to a green screw usually in the housing. this will ground it. you can pull power from an outlet, or directly from the breaker box.

yea you can pair them up by color.
u don`t need to follow the poriroty(spell :P) as long as one wire is connected to live and the other one to neutral. Fluorescent lamp use very light current, regular wire will do the job.
to ground it, take an extra wire, connect the housing of the light to the metal box of the outlet where u runs the power from, if the box is plastic, your should see a bare copper wire, use it as your ground.

Jago DON`T do it if u don`t understand how it works :-X

Just wire nut both black wires to the black (Hot) in your cord or junction box. White all get wire nutted to the white (Neutral) If you have a green or bare copper that is your ground, just screw it to the case so where. If all else fails just go to home depot. You can get a new light for about $20. Those are really cheap.

Well I cut the power cord from an old monitor and it was already grounded. Hooked up all the black and white wires and screwed the green wire the the green screw on the housing. Think this'll work? We still need to get some bulbs to test it.

Re: Need wiring help/home fluorescent lamp

ass long as one wire in your plug goes to both black wires, and the other one goes to both white wires, and the black and white wires aren't all bugged together it will work fine. i see you have it grounded right. my previous post was if you were going to wire it in permanetly, but i forgot you'd need to wire a switch to break the black wire when you want to turn it off. the way you have it, you can just unplug it
