Need some web design help: secure e-mail sending with formmail.cgi.

So I'm trying to help a friend work on his website and I'm a bit lost on this one. Someone(s) made his site a while ago and it needs some touch up. Right now on the order page it automatically goes to a secure server. When you place the order it uses a formMail.cgi script to send an e-mail with the order.

What I'm trying to do is just make a better order confirmation page because the page right now sucks. It just says what you typed in and you can't even tell if your order went through.

Normally when I use forms to send e-mails I just use PHP scripts and that has worked fine for me. I have no experience with secure sites though. Where do I find the FormMail file to edit it? I can't find it in the root directory anywhere.

I've never messed with secure sites.

Couldn't you just alter his code that's already in place?

It's confusing as ---- and I'd imaging he wants to keep it secure considering credit cards are coming through it.

I'll do it for 500 down and 50 an hour after that.

Or just 50 an hour if the guy will actually pay.

I have a friend that does websites professionally and probably would do it quickly for cheap, if rawr isn't serious.

I am and 50/h is the going rate for anyone worth a ----. It's usually more when you get into database management/writing cgi/getting ssl certs.
