Are the stock bolts grade 8 or higher? You need them the same grade, since some bolts are designed to shear off to prevent other parts from being damaged.

yea I'm just gonna either find one from a d series that I might have lying around or order one from honda...

That broken part around the crank where the RMS sits against is some sort of removeable housing. I dont think it will hurt anything as long as teh seal doesnt spin...which it isnt supposed to....any thoughts on that?

You say that wear on teh flywheel is normal? The rivets (bolts) that hold the surface area on are scored by the clutch....bad thing?

Are the heads of the rivets above the surface of the material? (Above the meta on the flywheel, or above the friction pads on the clutch disk?) That would be a problem.

I would be concerned about why the wear pattern (shiny area in pics) is there. Normally (in my humble experience) the face of the flywheel contact area doesn't have that shiny ring. The face is more uniform, not a shiny ring.

Well 3 of the pressure plate boltswerelonger than the other for some reason, so I got 4 bolts (3 to replace and 1 to fill in) from my dad. He has some spares from some old D15B2. Got those in. You think maybe all that excessive outer wear was due to over torquing those bolts from orioginal install? You are supposed to do it 19ft/lbs but when I installed it, we just used an electric impact gun ....This time I tq'd them to 19-ish ft lbs. We'll see how it looks on the next rebuild. I'm ordering mypiston rings, and rod bearings, and head gasket tonight.

Any advice on what to use to clean the crank shaft where the rod bearings clamp around?

Dude, it honestly looks like it ONLY grabbed at the ends. Did you "mic" it up or anything to see if it was level all the way across on both the disc and the flywheel. Looks like overtightening brought it to pinch MORE on the ends, but man I'm not an expert nor am I there to really see what it looks like.

P.S. I didn't mean to be a jerk in my last post. Just looks like something my buddies would have done. I'm ----, hence my clutch install was a total of 8hrs.
