Before I tried doing anything with the car, I think I would have someone else do the compression check. Those numbers sound kinda sketchy, but hey, who knows, maybe they're accurate. Try running a leak down compression check to try and locate the problem.
But remember, having a Bimer serviced is a just a little bit more expensive than a Honda!!

i brought the car to the dude that helped me out a lot with my crx cause hes the last person i could trust when he lets me know what the problem is ill post up he said its probably the valves..any one know how much a valve job would be on a 1992 318is?

alright i talked to the guy an hour ago he said its the valves and a valve job is 1200 and that would make the car run perfect..should i do it or should i sell it for what i can... book value is around 5grand i think i could get that with it running like that because iv seen a lot of them go for that on ebay thanks guys
