Need some ideas for vacations spots in the US or Canada

Well damn slackers at the passport dept. aren't gonna get our passports back in time. It's been over 12 weeks since we applied for them. We "were" going to Ixtapa Mexico in two weeks but we have up until 24 before we can cancel and get all of our money back. Also for the bonus, we can't really wait too long since the wife is pregnant and after 36 weeks she can't fly. So basically we've got like 2 months before she can't fly. Two years ago we went to socal and got the full Julio Boostamante socal package for a whole week. :8 I wouldn't mind going back out and alot of the places we wanted to go to we never got around to but still up for something new. I was thinking like Nashville or maybe Memphis. I'm not a big Florida guy. I wouldn't mind like the NW like Seattle or maybe like Vancouver. Toss me some ideas. I'm in Neenah WI if that helps on any location on either driving or flying. Toss me up some ideas.

go to nashville. alot friendlier place to stay over night. i live about 45 minutes away from "memphrica". only good thing about there is beale st.(like bourbon st. in N.O.), the dragstrip, and the airport. if you go to the strip at the right time, youll see some sick ----. i think the nopi series is coming soon, cant remember.

BTW, if you've never seen Niagara Falls it's a cool place to see. It isn't really exciting for more than a day, however.

Miami is great, but people don't know how to drive down there, everyone drives while using their cel phones, and turn use rear view/side mirrors or turn signals, no respect for each other on the road, 90% of the people dont speak english. but I still love my home miami FL
key west, south beach, coconut grove, ft lauderdale, biscane bay. MIAMI FLORIDA is great.

I lived there for 15 years, even though most of my time is spent in other states and countries since I joined the army, but I still love it and its my favorite city to visit.

I figured J.D. would've chimed in by now...he may not agree, but I think Asheville, NC is a pretty cool place, as is Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, TN...If you've never been to the mountains, they're great, everyone should see them and ride through them at least once...The Biltmore House in Asheville is the United States only TRUE castle and is an architectural masterpiece, definitely worth the money to ride through...My parents went out west a year or so ago and I was really impressed with their pictures of the Grand Canyon and alot of the other mountains and desert out that way...I wouldn't recommend Miami unless you're trying to flip some $$ and lookin' to score a good buy on some dope...Lots of Haitians and Cubans down there...need I say more?? Panama City is pretty straight for partyin' as is Daytona(both in FL), Orlando has all the good tourist attractions...Myrtle Beach,SC is(or at least WAS) the ---- as well, I haven't been there in some years, though...Charleston, SC and Savannah, GA are both on the coast and a cool ass historical places(if you like that type of ----, I always have)...Atlanta has got some cool stuff as well, but it's comparable to Miami as far as the amount of trouble you can get into, and tha people there can't drive for(be prepared to DRIVE if you go there, as if you were on a mission)----...Oh yeah, and my dad lived in Charlotte, NC several years ago, I always enjoyed myself there...

If you like blunts, and wanna smoke the best , go to Vancouver, BC.
If you like the above and nature, then Banff, Alberta is a good party/vacation town (a little pricey but women love it.)
Tofino BC, is pretty cool too just search online if your interested.
Western Canada is prolly the closest thing to Amsterdam this side of the big ditch.

Don't go to Seattle or Portland lol, it's nothing special unless you like the rain and have some weird infatuation with lots of trees.

Go to Vegas if you haven't been there and if you have been there go to Vegas anyways. :P

Re: Need some ideas for vacations spots in the US or Canada

It's more gonna be family oriented as the 10 year will be coming with. We were just going to do just the two of us. Basically just the hooray before my little wrench getter comes out at the end of August. I don't wanna do the Orlando things as we did the disneyland/seaworld on the last trip. I'm not a huge country hillbilly but I really want to see the Grand Ole Oprey. Maybe like a couple days in Nashville and then maybe Memphis or something around that area of the US. I'm not a big guy on seeing like landmarks like the grand canyon, Niagra..yada yada. Florida is a no way. My wife is for the relaxing type vacation as she's not up for alot of walking around being 6-1/2 months pregnant. Also the wife brought up something we thought about doing before...a train trip through Ottawa... :X. lol. yeah it goes through like the some mountains and stuff but I don't feel like chilling on a ------- train going through Canada. No offense to our fellow canucks here. Hmmm what about Toronto or someplace in canada? Oh an no Vegas either...been there and it's a family thing this time round. :-\

Toronto is like being in any other big US city Chicago,Detriot etc just cleaner and less crime :D Western Canada is nice crazy mountains, glaciers, rain forest, deserts etc etc.West coast of Canada is nice so is east coast if you like the more historic scenic type stuff. If your heading north of the border i would hit the west coast of BC it is a little different pace to life laid back on the pacifac ocean everybody smoke dope etc.Vancouver is really nice clean safe city for a larger place and whistler is fun too.Florida would be where i would go as I like the warm caribean type ---- but i live somewhere that has nasty winters so my opinion is bias.

If in Canada try Jasper or Banff for beautiful scenery and relax time. Vancouver Island and its gulf islands are also pretty cool for a relaxed vacation.

---- toronto, go west, I lived in toronto and ottawa. we could hardly pay the bills there, and it is pretty boring political ridden atmoshere.
we moved to calgary and make 4 times the money with way more to do. the mountains are ike an hour a way.
if you have never been to canada, fly into calgary and rent a car and tour around your fam would prolly love our laid back lifestyle.
+ you never have to add to the equation, could i get robbed or shot.
if ya really like it i'll get ya a job making 50 to 100k to start lol (Oil rich Alberta is the shizzz).

I'm thinking of going to Kansas. You ever see those ------- corn fields. Daaaaaaamn! 8) I just gotta bring my own butter, salt and those jazzy little holders you stick in the ends. Oh and some dental floss. I was thinking of Delaware also...maybe Idaho.

Re: Need some ideas for vacations spots in the US or Canada

My wife would be up for that as she's super antismoking. Hell if someone walked by our house who knew one guy who saw a TV show where someone was talking about RJ Reynolds then she would know. lol. She's like part bloodhound when it comes to cigarette smoke. Sheet, she could smell smoke before the cigarette was even lit! :P Honestly I don't know where I wanna go. She's all on my ass now about finding a place. She's up for like checking out museums, shows, tourist attractions and ---- like that. Hell I was happy going to a junkyard when I went to socal. lol. I wouldn't mind like a big car event or something like that. I wouldn't of minded going to LA again like last weekend to see the Toyota car show in Long Beach. But I'm a pretty plain jane type of dude.. I'm up for alot of stuff besides just chilling on the beach. If I wanted to sit outside and catch some rays...I could get a lawn chair and go down by the lake. We have like 2500 to work with.

If you want touristy ---- go to Washington DC, or NYC. Those have a ---- load of junk to see. I personally prefer going on vacation in the middle of nowhere.

Pittsburgh has some museums and is rich in heritage. Johnstown's got the whole flood thing. And the junkyards here rock. ;)

toronto is all anti smoking indoors, actually, all of Ontario is. No smoking in restaurants/bars either etc.

Niagara Falls is very cool for kids, the canada side anyways. Lots of stuff to do and see, plus Marine Land is fun for kids.

If you are all about the history then I would honestly say swing through VA and check out Williamsburg / Jamestown and then head on up to DC and check out the smithsonian and ----. there are tons of galleries and museams.

Then again NY has mad history too not to mention the broadway shows you can get on the cheap in Times Square. you can send the wifey off to catch a broadway show while you kick it at the ESPN Zone. they got leather recliners in front of a wall of plasma nigga! :6

Well we're gonna do a little road trip...Stillnoturbo may be coming to a town near you.
First chicago-2 days
memphis-2 days
Nashville-2 days
Louisville 1 days
Chicago-1 day
then maybe a 4dr ef coming back through milwaukee if we have enough money leftover and if it's pretty decent. It'll be my daily driver/autocross machine. I really want to autocross this summer as I've been a watcher for like 5 years that I discovered them. No turbo ----...just totally stock. I mean I've got the GVR4 but it's a DSM so something has to break soon and the Z is like on a 30 year stealthshuttle type restoration plan.

I just relocated to Washington (Ft. Lewis) and spent the weekend in Seattle with the wife and it really was nice, if you go you have to take the "Ducks Tour". They are old WWII amphibious vehicles that take you on a tour around the city including through one of the lakes up there and makes for some really good picture opportunities.

Well I haven't been online at all barely since I'm outside my Teepee hotel in bumfuck Kentucky. lol. How fitting huh...Hell it doesn't even have a phone inside so I'm jacking a signal from the main office...which also is a Teepee but just bigger.
http://
We're actually on our way back home. We stayed in chicago for a night..then a nice 7 hour drive to Memphis...all i can say is wooooooah. Nice place but I wouldn't want to live there. There were five death just while we were there for two days. :X Not to mention one that we were right by like minutes before it happened. :l Then drove up to Nashville which is ALOT nicer of a city. I didn't even look before hand on the most dangerous cities in the US and Memphis is right up there. Whoops. I'm driving down through 3rd street and Lamar Ave looking for some music studios and museums I wanted to see not knowing those are the worst streets in the whole fricking city. Now we on our way back up to Chicago for a 2 days and then back home and back to work. Once I get back home I can up load our Griswald family vacation photos. lol.
