Default Need some HMT turbo advice.

Ok, I'm coming to you'll for advice on something i want to do. So, if you plan on flaming me when i tell you my story and ask this question, then get a life and go away. I'm just looking for strong sound advice to accomplish something for all those people that get pounded on by bigger people. So here goes, there is a jackass that lives in my town that owns a SRT-4 with a stage 1 mopar kit, NX intercooler chiller and possible 100 shot of nitrous. No one around here has been able to beat him. Keep in mind that i don't live in california and we don't have extremely fast cars around here. Mostly imports or domestics with I/E/H. This guy ***** with everyone and rides around like he is the ---- and king of the streets. For awhile now i've planned on building up a D16z6 for turbo on proper management. The other night he was messing with me and there was no chance in hell to beat him, cause i'm a B7 on 6 psi and an FMU. Not too great. I told myself that i just want to beat him one day and do what ever it takes to do it. So far i have a sleeved Z6, forged internals, stock head and a t3 super 60. What will it take for me to get over on this guy? He was dynoed at 280 hp to the wheels. I want to show everyone that a little ricer can beat this ----. All good advice will be considered and i need all the help i can get.

I didn't sleeve, I got a pretty nice deal on ebay for a sleeved z6 for 85 shipped. Some guy was trying to start a project and ran out of money and had to get rid of it to pay bills. We all have heard that before. I just couldn't pass it up. It actually was never used and clean as all hell and done real nice too.

nice grab...

that turbo is a bit small for your goals. get something bigger if you want to have nice top end.

toss some forged goodies in that block, and crank the boost!

Thanks, see thats a concept i don't get yet. I was told that a t3 super 60 is great for d16z6's. Is that only in stock form? What's the difference between a stock bottom and built when it come to size of the turbo. Not trying to be a jack *** and all. Just a little confused.

stock srt's are only a 14sec car on street tires. you could go 14sec pretty easy on a boosted z6. run about 12psi, through an awesome tune, drag radials, possibly lsd, and you will smoke the ---- out of him. get a big turbo so you have him top end, if you have a truely sleeved z6 and you get forged internals, 20psi should be no problem. you shouldnt have to many problems outrunning him. 1st things first, get rid of that fmu.

the diff from stock to built is that you're gonna max the turbo out. you dont gain power from having forged internals. you gain strength thus allowing you to push more boost, and that gets you the power. t3 works great on a z6, until you start trying to push high boost from it. then you just end up blowing hot air.
