I'm guessing it's form an earlier 90's, late 80's 1.8L golf, not the newer 1.8t golf/gti's. If so they will connect up just fine. Watch out, you can have a smaller output shaft on some of the early transmissions. Buy the pressure plate for your 94 car and the clutch disk for the car your tranny came from.
I just put a 2.0l into an 83 rabbit and did the mix and match game.....
Oh and the whole assembly is backwards from a regualr clutch setup.....engine...pressure plate...clutch...then flywheel.....damn **** engineering
