well im pretty much gonna be using this computer for gaming,porno,and internet. i hear with gaming its not so much how fast the processor is its a few other things

How fast plays a part.... while slower the amd is superior for gaming but a fast pentium can be just as good they just run you alot of money for a fast pentium. But the game is all changed once the new pentium comes out its faster and cheaper than the amds and superior in every aspect.

Deff. wanna wait for the new pentium to come out. Prices are gonna drop pretty good on everything else.
I just wish AMD would come out w/ something new so the 4800x2's would drop a few hundred. $600 is still way to rich for my blood.

agreed, the new pentium uses the "Core" architecture (sp) and is supposed to be faster and run cooler than current p4's.

forget those damn SLI motherboards, SLI is used for using 2 video cards at once, which you dont need. get a good single card and you'll be golden.

my choice right now, would be a slowe amd x2 (like 3800) or a 3500+ w/ the new Asus 570 Ultra board. that combo (using the 3500+) would cost like 250 cdn tops.
