you either need a 96-00 ex, or a 96-00 hx (manual only) manifold to stay with an obd2 manifold. but you can use any obd1 d series intake manifold that i'm aware of. the one i have that i told you about, i don't believe it's from an ex or si, but it has the 2p iacv. i forgot to get pictures, i'll try to remember today. i know it will work and all of your other plugs should match right up, except for the iat, it's on the intake runners on obd1 and in the intake pipe on obd2, so you just leave the one on an obd1 manifold as is and don't use it. this should really be in teh tech section :-\

can i use my old y7 ecu to run the y8 2wire iacv or is it incompatible too? i want to be able to go between obd2a and obd1. is this possible being the y8 iacv is 2 wire and the y7 iacv is 3?

i highly doubt it, you could, but will just get an iacv cel and a fucked up idle. why would you want to go back to using an obd2 ecu? just get a virgin p06 if you want to run stock again.

your one smart man projekteg. i wasnt thinking simple after all this complex thinking. i can just get an extra eeprom chip with stock bin. anyone mess with the 512k chips with the switch were u can have two bins on one chip and have a switch. ive seen people mention it before but never heard of someone putting it to use.

iam going home for lunch to grab the laptop and will have u some pictures in less than an hour.

na dawg, all you have to do is put a switched jumper at j10, by cutting the jumper, it will enable the stock rom, so you can just extend and actual jumper wire to outside of the ecu and put a toggle switch in line. when the circuit is closed, you'll be running off the programmed rom, when it's open (disabled jumper), you'll be running stock rom from the ecu, simple as pie ;)
