Need major clutch help!!

I installed a act xt00 clutch and a streetlite flywheel.

Now i cannot put my car in gear!! I have changed the slave cylinder and bled the clutch, i have no idea what it could be? the car runs fine and there is no chattering of the clutch, it just will not go into gear when the car is on, but when it is off the car will shift gears.

95 civic dx with z6 swap, hydrolic clutch... :(
any ideas?

a friend said that the flywheel would need to be turned...?

try messing with the pedal adjustment

do you think that i should loosen the pedal so it travels farther, or do put it closer to the ground? i can try that and see how it goes though.. thanks for the info

i messed with the pedal adjustment, and it didnt do anything.. i have no idea what is going on and i dont want to have to shell out 350 bucks to have someone do exactly what i just did by installing the clutch..

flywheel doesnt need to be turned... My guess is that either you have a slight shift linkage problem.. forgot to put something back on or in... even the small rubber things. Or you need to just yank the stick while the car is on till it goes into gear, then it should go into all of them fine...... my car was like this when i first installed my clutch, did u grease up the Throw out bearing?

Re:Need major clutch help!!

i greased the throwout bearing, i did not end up with any extra parts, i followed the haynes manual and another manual to do the job. the car shifts when it is off, so i am thinking the linkage would be ok, the car runs good and revs good without any wierd noises that would be expected if ---- was messed up... it just seems like the clutch pedal needs to go farther because the clutch does not feel released..

do you think that i could start the car in gear and then take off and see how it does? i dont want it to slip the clutch because this is rather expensive to do twice...

Sounds to me like you need to ---- around with the adjusting cable some more. Can you switch gears with the clutch not pushed in while it's off? Cause my car does that when it's off, but of course you can't do it when it's on. Does it feel any easier to shift if you push in the clutch while it's off? If it doesn't then it sounds like you need to ajust the clutch.

its a hyrdolic clutch, i bled it over and over, the fluid has completely gone through it because it was dark before and now its all clean. the car will shift when its off... with the clutch not pressed in, i dont know. i will go try and then tell

Re:Need major clutch help!!

ok heres something you might want to try.... beeing how your clutch is new... it might be too damn thick... and not be disengaging properly... what you might want to do actually first is get that little pushrod from the slave cylinder that activates the release fork..... and go into your garage or homedepot or something and find a rod of that similar lengh but a bit longer.... you might have to grind it smaller a few times till i t gets right... and run around with that for a while untill the clutch breaks in... then go back to the OG rod.... this happend to my old eclipse... and its pretty much had the same problem you have now....
