Need input on insurance.

I'm about to get my car up and running, all i need is for it to get insured. But it seems like an accident I had in 03 is kicking my ass hard. The cheapest quote I got is $184/month. Is there any loop-hole or other way around to get my car insured and not get raped? I know it sounds stupid but I'm pretty desperate.

You're fucked. Call progressive? I heard they give you not only their rates, but the rates of several other insurance companies :P

Liability or full coverage? I'm assuming liability

Re: Need input on insurance.

on my 91 integra LS my insurance was 220 a month... just because its was gooker car that all the azns want to steal. that was just for liability

my 88 5.0 mustang is 150 a month full coverage

my integra was also in the same category as a c5 z06 corvette for insurance costs...

Hey when u turbo a car do u gotta report it to your insurance company? If so are they gonna charge u more?

Cray91 03-30-2005 10:03 PM

Re: Need input on insurance.

You should only report it if you want them to cover the damages should it get stolen or wrecked.

I get off easy on my insurance because I list that the car is in Morris, MN most of the year. It is, but there is no traffic or theives here, so it drops my rates way down. Speeding tickets still ---- me hard, but what can ya do.

I'm going to have to pay 292 a month once I start driving agian. Is there any different between a 92 hatch and a 88 hatch insurance wise? Cuz my dad mixed it up somehow, and I don't know if I should tell them or not. Which is higher to insure, 88 civic hatch, or 92 civic hatch?

Just call and ask them for a quote if you were to buy another vehicle.

Progressive has a "what-if" calculator for that ----.

cheap way to save a few bucks....

insure a second car on lay-up. comprehensive only insurance. it can be any car, just take the vin from your moms minivan, girlfriends or gay lovers jetta, redneck friends mid bogger truck...whatever.

doing this saves me like $7 a month on my insurance, i currently have the crx on layup as it sits.

a bucks a buck.

have 10k in a savings account or something of that nature, show the DMV, that'll show them that you can 'afford' an accident. I dunno I forgot the exact requirements and conditions, but I was looking into it like 5 years ago.

Are u saying that if u got an account with 10k in it u dont need insurance? If so how would u pay for someones hospital bill if u were in a accident that was your fault? i dont think 10k can cover 100k+ in medical bills

After 10k they just pull the feeding tube :P I'm paying 197 a month by the way, could be cuz I'm an 18 year old male. Good thing I cleared my 23 mph over speeding ticket or I think I'd be at about 400
