Need ideas mounting LCD TV *Update-installed*
I'm getting a 37" and can't mount it on the wall with my current entertainment center. It's also too large to fit in the middle TV section of the center. What I was thinking is attaching a cantilever mount to one of the uprights of the entertainment center (it's pretty large). The TV would stick out slightly past everything. All of the mounts I see are designed to be installed on a wall, into studs. Would I be able to get away with mounting it this way? I have never mounted a large TV like this so I could use some input.
Update: All done I ended up using a cantilever mount to a stud on the wall behind the entertainment center so now I can swing the tv to different angles and ----. I've never seen an HD broadcast before and it's ------- awesome. The built in QAM tuner this thing has picks up most of the digital channels and all the on demand channels. I was watching some **** last night and saw someone rewinding it back to a certain part and watching it a few times, I love this ----!

Re: Need ideas mounting LCD TV
The entertainment center is angled in a corner right now. After some thinking, I'm just going to put it flat against a wall and put the cantilever mount on the wall directly behind the TV hole, and have the TV in the same spot but with less worry

look in best buy,not online but in the stores. in the back they got a whole bunch of setups for hanging the tv. when i bought my lcd i went to circuit city and they didn't have ---- and even the manufacturer wall mount was crap best buys was better.
there is one that swings like an arm i'm sure there is one long enough to clear it. if you find that the other setup won't work
