whats the deposit for on paypal when you are buying a car on ebay? ? ? ? ? ? ?

dus it mean that i pay for the Deposit and for the car or do i just pay for the deposit by it self

you pay the deposit to the seller.. if he's local you dont have to pay it..

its credited towards the sale of the car.. they do it because theyre a bunch of ------- retards.

say u buy a car for 2000 bucks seller asks for 500 dollar deposit via paypal. u gotta paypal em 500 bucks.. and then when u go to pay the car u gotta pay the rest of the cost. most of the time the deposit is non refundable.. so you pay the 500 and go look at the car and its a ------- pos andd wow guess what your out 500 bucks.

thats why i wudnt ---- with a car unless its local.. and tell the guy your local and your coming out to see the car within 24 hours so u dont have to pay a deposit...

Not true that it's non-refundable. It goes into an escgrow account and if buyer and seller don't complete the deal then it is refunded to buyer. The deposit is more like a way to show the seller you're serious about buying the car.
