Need help with Microsoft Excel....
Alright The equation is:
(1+I)^n I is in cell I1 and n is the number of cycles listed in colum A starting at A4. Whoever helps me out can change Junkyard Racers title to whatever they want it to say. Thanks. ;) |

I need what the equation would be that I have to enter in that repeats that equation 100 times using the number in I1 and N being the number in colum a1. I know there's computer nerds on here that are good at this stuff... |
Re: Need help with Microsoft Excel....
If I understand what you are trying to do, you have a number in I1, and a list of 100 other numbers in column A (starting at A1?) and you want to take the number in I1, add 1 to it, and then increase in exponentially by the number listed in column a... 100 times, for the entire list? Essentially you are looking for 100 answers to your calculation?
=($I$1+1)^A1 Drag that formula down, until A1 is A100, and you should be set.... |

the $ locks the cell in that place even if u move or copy it around. I$1 would have worked too, as long as you didnt copy sideways. |
Re: Need help with Microsoft Excel....
as a tip, if you ever need a cell to remain the same when you drag it, use the absolute reference ----, you can hit F4, basically it puts the dollar signs in front of the cell reference, like if you have cell A1, it would be $A$1, if you wanted just the column to stay a, then only put the dollar sign before the a...
