eh, ---- the d15 bottem end then. throw the a6 bottem end on and put the a6 cam in the d15 head if its still ok.

Rawr: thanks, I'll try that - I just finished completely taking the motor out of the car - it was my first time and I had a blast. I took it out through the bottom as many of you have - it was very tricky and a bit of a balancing act with the floor jack but hey, it worked - saved me $200 from going to buy a cherry picker. I will keep you posted about my progress - thanks again to everyone for their feedback.
