The onyl way for YOU to tell, is to look on teh back of the head, on teh left side, and see if there is a little thingymajiger called a vtec syliniod, has to plugs on it, one with one wire, and one with two.

Well, does it have a VTEC solenoid? :P

If the spark plugs are closer to the front of the valve cover, it is VTEC, if it is closer to the back of the valve cover it's not VTEC.
I'm going to guess it's not VTEC. ;)

hey boost, the d16z6 isnt considerd a sohc zc, from what most those sies say, zc vtec - d16z6, umm no. If it s a sohc zc, it says zc. What other motors had vtec beside the z6, y8, and the d15b.

They did make them, but you are right, they are damn near a Z6, but in a different way. :P

i wish it just said vtec on the valve cover....even my 92 Si didn't
