need help with a buyer situation
Ok so a new member on the forum, discdude, bought some dsm injectors from me a couple weeks ago. It was your normal $50 bucks through paypal, I dropped them off in a priority mail box the next day at the post office. So he should have had them in 2-3 days. Well he kept pming me basically asking where they were. I told him exactly what happened and he was patient and waited. After about a week he is asking more and more, and I said, I cant really do anything, I sent them, You should have them by now. I then said try talking to your local P.O. to see if maybe they are holding them or any weird situation. He said they werent, and finally today he tells me he recieved a box from me in the mail. He says its stamped "recieved unsealed and without contents". And now wants his money back.
I know I sent him 4 injectors in a box, and paid for the weight of them, I didnt even weigh them, the lady at the counter did, its not like I went and grabbed a priority mail box, didnt put anything in it or even close it and ship it to him lol. All I can think is 1) Someone at the post office opened it and took the injectors out and slapped a stamp on it? 2) He wants free injectors?
I dont mean to be saying he is a liar, but I know I sell many things and am not out to scam someone over $50. What would you all do in this situation?

Re: need help with a buyer situation
its fishy cause its hard to think anyone at the PO is gonna open up a little random looking box if they don't know whatts in there, but its possible I guess...on the other hand like you said he might be playing you too and trying to get you for $50! I don't know I've never had a situation like that, IMO its always worth the extra dollar or two for insurance and confirmation

have him take a picture of the box and then show it to someone at the post office as see if that's even feesable. if you shipped them and you know it, and he received the box, you did what you were suppose to. if he calls you a scammer or whatever, you know it's not true and that he is the liar and eventually the truth will come out. if he didn't pay for insurance or request it, it's not your responsibility in my opinon, and like i said, if you sent them, you sent them and that's where your responsibility ends

thats 100% true too, it should be buyer requested. but me personally as of late if it only takes $1.50(insur and confr) to clear me of all responsibility just in case something like this happens in transit, I don't mind paying it. cause when they come at you with that "you scammed me" BS or try to play you, theres nothing more you gotta do than hit them with the insurance or confirmation # to shut them up.
As allways Kevin you are smarter than I, You just put into words how I feel. He never requested or paid for insurrance.

Of the hundreds of priority boxes I've gone through, the only time I've ever not gotten them to stay shut is when it's 10 degrees outside. Other than that, those boxes have to be murdered to be opened most of the time.

I had one open in my trunk the other day. It was about 91 out. The adhesive just released. Hot and cold are not good for adhesion.
I just use delivery confirm on all packages regardless of request. The weight of the box will be recorded by the postage sticker, and the delivery will be confirmed. Outside of that you can't really do anything as a seller.
