Need the dimensions of a standard Honda Civic differential, D15 or D16

hey guys. Long time no see.

I need the dimensions of a civic differential. Working on something and need to know the diameter around where the big gear bolts up to (the biggest possible outside diameter) I also need to know the distance between both of the axle inserts from end to end.

Please and thanks.

Hate to get annoying but I know many of you have one sitting around. Can someone measure it for me? I really need these asap. I searched everywhere including google and cant find anything.

explain what your trying to do.

The axle tube lengths can vary and not effect anything.

The outer flange diameter doesn't matter much, it's the bolt pattern that is key.

You won't find anything on google, some info never gets posted :)

Re: Need the dimensions of any D series differential carrier(pic inside)

Ok I'll rephrase myself. lol sorry if I'm making this confusing. Ok I need the outer dimensions of the entire carrier minus the big gear that bolts up to it. So just the carrier. I need the dimensions from end to end where the axles slide in to and also the most outer diameter on a D series differential carrier weather its a D16/15 it does not matter much.

Pretty much what I need to know is lets say I wanted to bolt up a bicycle sprocket to the carrier what diamiter of sprocket would I need. Hope this helps. This is for a custom project and has nothing to do with a real car. I'm on base now and hundreds of miles away from home, I have a D15 tranny in the shed that I'll be busting open to get at the carrier, untill then I'm just making some plans on autocad and would need the dimensions of such carrier.

To make things easier, here is what I need the dimension of.

Hey why don't you go measure your carrier for me? I don't see you helping.

hey, I believe these are the dimensions you are requesting? Measurements arent perfect...hopefully Bone'll give you some better ones. Outer distance from axle to axle is about 5" 3/8, and the diameter for the other piece is 5" 5/8. As pictured I just used a regular tape measure....the angle distorts the measurements...jus using that to double check if thas what you wanted....
