Need advice ASAP

I need advice on what should I do about my speeding ticket.
Should I go do community service or go to defensive driving school??
I dont want to pay for the ticket I know its going to be around $200.
Will the insurance place know that I have a ticket??

Insurance will eventually find out unless you're really lucky. If they offer you any alternative to reduce the fine, take it.

i would rather take the def. driving school..

doesn't it only take like 4 days or somethin like that?

Community service maybe 3-6hrs(do nothing just set there) and driving school 8hrs(learn how to be better driver).
Will the ticket stay on my record??

Your insurance company will find out. Some let you slide if it is under 10mph over. Most cops don't write em for that low anyway, so i am guessing they will find it.

If you can get them to drop the ticket or have a continuance for a year or whatever, then insurance companies won't find out.

I got out of one of my latest tickets by taking a defensive driving course. It was like 4 hours on a saturday and prety painless.

dont take the class if you drive like a dick...in jersey i know if you get another moving violation within a year they suspend your license for a while...happened to two of my friends

hmmm weird in cali i got my friend to write me off for driving school and it never got to insurance and was cleared...well woot for me

I talked to them today and they say that def driving or deffered disposition will take it off my record and wont let the insurance know.But I want to do community service so I have to go see a judge.
