yea, if you do the work yourself you can do a p-port for very cheap, then just harden the stationary gears and get some good bearings in there and you will see around 300 HP @ 13,000+ rpm

depends. if it has low compression it might mean too many things. if its just a beater, then what i would suggest putting atleast some 2 stroke oil in the gas. also, when its good and hot, tap a vaccume line and let it drink some water. clean out everything. dont worry, rotaries dont really hydrolock. plus if its good and hot, the water will convert to a gas and therefor be able to be compressed, and will be basically steam cleaning everything. if its carbed, just clean the carb. if its fuel injected, get the injectors profesionally cleaned.

Really.. because my neighbor said he goes to a tech school and would be able to take the motor and do all kinds of ---- to it.. hmm :P

well a cheap ol pport isnt very good since it will also alter the timing ( not ignition ). plus, i would get mazda made p port housings and hurley ecc shaft. then it would rev to the skys limit. also you might wanna get a better exhaust, since that seams to choke them up pretty bad. also a turbo wont hurt.

I might have access to an RX-7 turbo actually.. and a completely nother engine (12A I believe). I'll just beat the snot out of the catalytic converter and put on my old muffler, that should be good enough for me

heh. dude, you could rebuild a rotary engine in 2 houres, and have it back in your car runing if you do it at a moderatly fast pace. should take 1 houre to get it out of the bay if its fuel injected. its just soo simple. a broken apex seal shouldnt be an all day job.

heh, the rx7 will eat through it if its glasspacked.

cool man pick it up. these cars are little devils. ive seen a turbo 1st gen stomp a supra turbo.

an hour? thats slow. ive pulled mine in 25 minutes with tranny... its so simple. And its going to be a beater car so i doubt he is going to have money for some brand new mazda p-port housings, this is HMT we are all interested in going fast for cheap. Anyone who can read could get the timing were they wanted thats why there is sites like vintagerotaries.com

heh. well if its the first time, it might take a little more than a half an houre. but even if ya go slow it will take yah no more than 1 houre.
