My Wedding, date set

OK, so we set a date for my wedding, not until june 28, 2008, yeah far away, but its cool. Anyways, i was making the list up becasue we need a head count to book a hall, and I was having an open invite to hmt members who wanna come, its gonna be in ohio so yea... But if you want to come, I need to know so I can make the list up and we can make the payment on the hall. So lemme know fools hah

Re: My Wedding, date set

That's a very long time away. Will there be an open bar?

Re: My Wedding, date set

Yeah def an open bar! I know its a ways, but money is tight and my sister is having her wedding next year and my fiance's brother is graduating next year, so 2008 it is, but we need to book a hall and get the lists done and ---- and since hmt is my home away from home, open invite, but i need to know, kinda ludicris being 2 years away, but this ---- is expensive, liek $23 per person :8

Re: My Wedding, date set

Heh, $23 per person isn't expensive. I would go, but I have no idea what's gonna happen in 2 years so I can't give a guarantee.

haha, I'll roll the stealth shuttle to the wedding. It should be done by then. ;D

I can't believe how much people spend for one day of life. Just go to vegas, you get it done for under $3k, and you spend the rest on your house. (yeah, vs. just feeding people food their going to ---- in a couple hours anyway.) ;)

Wow, $3000 for a wedding photographer Dave? Would you mind if I asked what all he did? My buddy and I were supposed to do a wedding but she "can't afford us both" and she's only paying him $450...

Re: My Wedding, date set

even 450 is way too much Dan, the " drive through" wedding is only 8 dollars in vegas LOL
a friend of mine spend like 100 bucks total for a minister and photos and all :8

Like steve said spend the rest on necessities.

There gets to be a point when you're paying for the wedding photographer's reputation, rather than value of the actual work done. A good wedding photographer will give you TONS of options of styles, length of his stay, etc. All I can say is make sure you see their portfolio first!

Re: My Wedding, date set

We picked our photographer very carefully. We got a ridiculous amount of pics in all different sizes and some framed. The album is HUGE.The woman was there the entire day with my wife and through the ceremony into the late night as people left. She even did a photo session before the wedding for us to show us her work of us and we could make up minds if we wanted to hire her.

$23/person is a ------- STEAL (especially if its open bar too)

Mine is $108. includes meal and open bar. Mind you we're only have like 100-110 people. but still.

We got engaged Valentines Day 2005. our date is apr 14, 2007, and its gone by so quick.

Don't wait 2 years!!! Seriously, you will hate yourself for it. Got married 2 weeks ago after a 1.5yr engagement, both of us said that if we could do it over again, 9 months tops. TRUST ME, you get sick of thinking about this ---- and just want it done!!!!!

Oh, my dinner was 11.00 per person, non-open bar, and buffet style. That's what everone is used to around my neck of the woods.

I think we cam just under 10,000 for the whole thing except for the honeymoon to Mexico.

ahh you should have let me know about mexico, my fiance works for Air Transat, shes the internal sales agent. she gets trips for REAL cheap (like 600-900 per person that would normally cost 1500)

we went to Jamaica (all incl.) for 1100 for both of us (that includes stupid air taxes too)

keep that in mind. :)
