5 psi IS NOT 5 psi anywhere. At sea level atmospheric pressure is 14.7psi. Barometric pressure is boost The more barometric pressure, the more boost you'll be running. This is why some tracks include the barometric pressure on timeslips. The higher you get up in altitude, the less atmospheric pressure there is and therefore less boost. Also higher up in altitude is less oxygen. This is why different octanes are offered in higher altitude cities.

Think of it in this terms 5 psi is 5 psi, but it takes longer for me to spool 5 psi because the air is less dense here. I can gurantee if I went down to sea level I would shave off a full 1.5 seconds on my track time. Thats how much of a difference it makes

But its not depending on altitude.

At sea level: 5psi + 14.7psi = 19.7psi

At high altitude: 5psi + 10psi = 15psi

I'm just stating facts, I live close to sea level so I have nothing to gain by convincing you, I'm just stating reality.
