The downpipe was a major pain in the ***. I had a friend who works for the railroad that is a more experienced welder do most of the welding, as you can see he was having alot of problems. Turned out he had it on the wrong heat setting and way to much wire speed. Ive been practicing and my welds look a hell of alot better, so I may redo that eventually.
I was going to grind down the welds but I decided I just wanted it done. The 1200 deg. paint is more for rust/corrosion resistance than looks.
The only numbers I have right now are from a G-tech, (very unaccurate im sure) but will give me a better idea of what kinda gain I got. Before turbo it was "120 hp" and after its now "160 hp". So a very rough estimate is 40 hp gain. Ill definately get legitimate #s and tuned next season.
