My turbo is on, not tuned, but on.

My turbo is on, not tuned, but on.
For anyone who is interested I got the turbo on and it is fully functional. I have some shitty track times and everything. Check it out at

Thanks for the help on everything, without this site none of it would have happened. I am waiting on some resistors and my missing link then it should run really well.
I do have some bad news. I found another HMT guy when I was at PIR. Apparently he didn't read very much of the site. He was running a D16Y8 from a 96 Civic in his 93 civic. He had an STI turbo with a very custom up and down pipes. No IC or BOV, and his fuel management was disconnecting the o2 sensor to make it run rich. Lets just say that he started blowing bluish whitish smoke after he warmed his tires. He ran a 17.1 and I didn't see him the rest of the night. There was a stock Focus there running a 16.8.

---- the missing link, ---- the afc bullshit, ---- that. get your ecu chipped with some real fuel management. its just the right way to do it these days. hell, you could probably sell that vafc for enough $$ to buy a spare ECU and have it chipped. -even as ghetto as my car WAS, it was still tuned precisely and ran incredably well
your around PIR, there are PLENTY of people on this board from that area that can give you a hand.
ohh yeah, and you said your turbo is on....but you are also asking what to set your vafc at...but rockin on the guy with the o2 pulled? sounds to me like you are just as bad off...I would for sure lay off that car until you get some type of fuel management.

Jeez, my first time to the track I was breaking 2.3 60ft's on a set of tire I'd never even driven on before. 205/40/16 Cumhoe 711's with some heavy Motegi 16's.
Sounds like you still have a ways to go learning how to drive and how to tune. Get rid of the AFC if you like having a car that runs. But of course if you like blown motors, keep it. Seriously there are tons of people on this forum in that area that would be more than happy to help you.

Re: My turbo is on, not tuned, but on.
wow those trap speeds are really unimpressive. I think I was hitting the same speeds NA in my stock crx NA with a couple of bolt ons.
Tuning is really killing that thing, I really hope your not running 10psi on that thing, because just skimming through your car domain, it appears to have no fuel engine management at all? not even a FMU?
so basiclaly 10 psi on a stock engine with no extra fuel?
this is like a total jeff frank flashback.. got your ---- all ------ed in... get all excitied and go rape the ---- out of it with no management. Next week we will see the "I blew my motor" post,
Peice of advice, dont drive it until you got something to add some fuel.
