They're probably right; I calculate a 697lb weight difference. 2939lbs curb weight 03 SRT4 (www.edmunds.com) subtract a 96 DX HB 2242lbs curb weight (http://www.hondaswap.com/forums/inde...howtopic=29355) and you get 697lbs difference.

Now we have a 225whp SRT4 (first year, might I add, so no LSD) versus a 163whp civic hatch. So 2939l/225=~13lbs/hp, and 2242/163=13.75lbs/hp

But the SRT4 had an extra ~160lbs maybe more (camera man), so that would drop the SRT's pwr to weight ratio down to 13.77lbs/hp; so in all actuallity this is very plausable.

i would really love to see someone make a mid 13 second pass with a stock LX 5.0 foxbody

cause it is not going to happen. if you use slicks and launch at 4k thats not stock.

Actually the DX hatchback is 2222 pounds, so it would actually be 13.63lbs/hp and the srt4 would be 13.06

Correction, the SRT4 is 2003 was 215 whp, the 2004 was 225... so

Honda Civic DX - 163 whp - 2222/163 - 13.63 lbs/hp
Dodge Neon SRT4 - 215 whp - 2939/215 - 13.67 lbs/hp

Cool link. I was curious what my car weighed. Thanks!!!

Remember this..."What's that thing weight? 3400lbs and my Civic weighs 2400lbs and uhh.....well....uhhhPower to weigh ratio says your F'd." LOL That's funny because we are now doing it.

Let's not forget gear ratios and traction lose or whatever. Soooooo many little variables. I think he made more than 163whp too though.

Thanks for the info JD. Now I have a better chance on a roll on ONLY RWD cars or what and why? Very informative thread.

If you use Edmunds correctly they're more accurate than most other sites as far as hp, weight, etc
