My turbo is On!!!
Well After Many hours yesterday I finally got my turbo on, Never had too many problems except for the stupid MX-6 Intercooler. I think it was the hardest thing to install without cutting parts off the car. I think I will look for something a little more user friendy now. Other than that I still have a problem with my wastegate, It is off of lebaron turbo (which is like 5.5 lbs I believe) and I am only getting 3 PSI boost which isn't much but better than nothing. I will start to Iron out that stuff soon.
My engine is stock Z6 with 200,000 Kms (120,000 Miles). Here is some pics of it all. Looks good.... just curiouse... does your stock O2 sensor fit the CX manifold??? becuase it looks like it does?

thats a pretty cool way to mount that mx-6/probe i/c. it seems pretty big! how much surface area is exposed in the front? (ie get a frontal shot)
all in all looks like a pretty cool setup. make sure to post times/dyno #'s |

need to extend that intake off the turbo out a lil more im sure all that hot airs not doin it any justice... run a pipe out the front and put the filter on or somethin.. :) but anyhow it looks good cant wait till i get all the parts and put mine on!!! usin a stock dsm 2gen ic... waitin on fmu and vtec controller... got all the rest.. :)

you could cut the intercooler in two and reweld it to a FMIC like i did.......

Now to answer your questions.... yes, the stock o2 plug screws into the CX manifold,the plug is a little short though. http://www3.telus.net/turbofreak/Picture 65.jpg (Yes that is snow in the background) There is only like half the IC exposed so I will have to change that to make it more efficient, it was 2am and i just wanted to go home so that mounting position was the quickest. I am gonna run the filter to a better spot, and i am actually getting a bigger one tommorrow and hopefully I can get something welded up tommorrow to take car of that. http://home.earthlink.net/~freemanmo...tercooler4.gif That IC is pretty crazy I might modify it like that cause it will fit alot better than current set up. |

Yeah, I don't mind, actually that would be cool!! I have a couple things left to do, install BTM and make some kind of cold air intake, I actually have more pics that you could use.
And I don't have that paint code but I am sure it would not be hard to find, the color is S2000 Silver. Cheers Mike |

Ohh Yeah and the total cost of everything so far, including the BTM that I haven't installed yet is around 1400-1500 Canadian ( 900 American)

Wastgate is on the backside of the turbo, you can kinda see it in the 3rd pic, that is why my turbo is kind on a angle, looks better back there anyways it has a little rust on it ;D
My rims are Motegi MR8's (Hence the name) and they are 16's . Won't be able to get to the track till april/may cause it is winter here now. Mike |

Your setup is sweet man! I wish I had that much room in my engine bay :( My IC was a pain in the ASS! I actually used a 2gen rx7 intercooler, and piping is the worst!

Behind the cooling system? The EGs have those "half" radiators. I can't remember off the top of my head, but I don't think there is anything in front of that IC. I think the A/C condensor was there but he looks as if he's removed it, or it never had one.
