If you pay the money to classify that as a a couple weight classes higher you can legally do whatever the ---- you want to the bumpers - height, solid steel, etc. - right now it's a passenger truck and the bumpers are so high you'll drive over someone's face in an accident instead of hitting them and letting the bumpers do their work. You own a CRX, dude, a stock Z71 would drive up a CRX and kill the occupants, you should be aware of this.
FWIW, lower the truck. If it just has a mild body lift, cool, that's even better. Bring a picture of it lowered into court and ask what the big deal is, if the cop says that's not the truck tell the court the truck is outside if they want to inspect it. Keep in mind the cop will have an axe to grind after you do this.

i have 35" bfg muds on an 87 chevy diesel and it got written up as needing a safety cause some bitch *** cop said it was too high, even though my bumpers were built to keep it at legal bumper heights. She was pissed when they measured it and it was still 4" below legal max so she wrote it off the road cause my lic plate lamp was burnt out. I still had the papers from the last safety 5 months prior in the glove box. damn fun police. How much?
I am aware that it is POS
