Default My trip cross country pics.

Well to start a buddy of mine was gettin out of the marines and moving back to so cal. He was stationed at camp legune in Jacksonville,NC. The cars stock lowered 91 crx si and a 92 civic dx I helped build years ago sportin an all motor d15b some of my port work and such from my early days. Alright to the pics

Fine piece of jacksonville,nc import scene

supercharged. Maybe tuned by projecteg

perhaps the ugliest thing I had ever seen. I believe it was a early 90's cavilier at one time. We later saw him sportin some new spinners from the Zone LOL

Um figured the nw hmt guys go there Ill give it try first one I had seen in person. No wheelie guy at this location

Um these are suppose to be called Carls Jr.

Leavin jacksonville for gulport,miss

17 hours later we reached gulport, miss where hurriace katrina hit. My buddy Donnie's family is stationed there in the navy hence why we went

One of many buildings there trashed. The coast there is a site to see just foundations not a standing buildin worth rebuilding very sad. Took lots of pics of this but we have seen the news.

After a day of rest in miss. we decided to make it too dallas,tx about a 11 hour drive. We made it to mesquite,tx about 30 miles from dallas and called it a night. All I wanted to do was get a tall can of bud and go in the spa. Well mesquite is a dry town no liquor and the spa closed at 10 pm it was an indoor one got there at 100. Needless to say i will never be back to this god forsaken place. No pics of this shithole.

Next morning we shoot for flagstaff,az. But did a stop off in amarillo,tx to experince the Big Texan. A steak joint with a 72 oz steak deal. You eat it in an hour its free. The challange cost 75 bucks if I thought I would have a chance in the world I would of but I can barely finish a 1/2 pound burger from carls jr.

The challange

What i got a 36 oz steak called the houston. pretty good steak but was around 40 bucks but you only live once.

After dinner I got a little excited. It had been a lonely trip so I did a little bull fisitin. I was yelled at to get off the trailor. LOL.

Almost forgot saw this thing in Baton Rouge. Dont know what it was and why he did it. Gave the guy thumps up and he said thanks good times.

So I stopped for the night in flagsatff while donnie was impatient and wanted to get home to his wife/kid yada yada so I stayed in a motel 6 god those places are Nice.

About 7 hours from so cal

The rest of the pics are pretty much nature shoots i took in Az and New mexico.

Home sweet home. My daily driver. 91 crx sohc vtec/zdyne tuned jeff frank's old one classic piece of import history.

Overall pretty good trip. i suck at write ups and has Im writing this forgot alot but its the jist of it. For me who really only been on the west coast it was nice to see other area's and so forth. Would I do it again? In an rv yes in a crx w/ blown struts no. Will I ever live anywhere but california I doubt it and this trip just made it more clear. Thats all

hah badass chris looks like you had a good time.

I bet actually seeing the damage from katrina is a bit more of a shock to see in person rather than pictures.

That steak is teh BIG. I don't like regular steak because of all the fat and bones you have to extract, but if that 72oz steak was fillet mignon, I'd give it a whirl.
