My project thread.

This is the history of my Civic from end to beginning:

http://www.hmt-tv.com/hmt/matt/Newturbokit/DSC00536.JPG

The manifold is schedule 40 mild steel. Nothing fancy just simple

http://www.hmt-tv.com/hmt/matt/Newturbokit/DSC00569.JPG

I heat wrapped the manifold, the turbo is a T3. Don't mind the welds in
the downpipe, this collector was molested more times than I can count.

JRC 8 inch intercooler.

All and all its nothing fancy. This has to be the lowest dollar turbo kit I've built.

Manifold: $20 for pipe $25 for flanges
Turbo: T3 .42/.48 $50
BOV: 2G DSM $15
Oil Lines: $20
Intercooler: JRC 8 inch $195
piping and couplings: $30

Total: $355 dollars

My last turbo kit I tried for big HP:

3.5 inch downpipe.

T3/T4 .60 compressor .63 turbine 57 trim Tyrus 8.5 inch intercooler
Greddy Type-S BOV
Custom manifold
3.5 inch downpipe
38mm Tial wastegate
uberdata
DSM 450's
plx m300 wideband

And the kit before that was the fun one which was the most controversial the TT kit:

http://www.hmt-tv.com/hmt/matt/TTcivickit/TTpic6.jpg

http://www.hmt-tv.com/hmt/matt/TTcivickit/TTpic4.jpg

It was a fun kit to build, was pretty cheap and fun. Yeah it had some lag but all and all it was decent.

The original plan was to run nitrous. I had a 100shot Nitrous express direct port.

http://www.hmt-tv.com/hmt/matt/Civicevo/DSC00290.JPG

The car came along way since when I first got the thing and it was ready for a junkyard:

http://www.hmt-tv.com/hmt/matt/Civicevo/DSC00295.JPG

http://www.hmt-tv.com/hmt/matt/Civicevo/DSC00294.JPG

Because mice chewed up most of the wiring I had to rewire the entire car to OBD1

I think it turned out pretty decent:

I don't know, all the flashy lights inside next to those floormats threw me off, but the motor got less of that blue ---- going on, so maybe we could get some yoshinoya some day.

Re: My project thread.

I don't know what flashy lights your talking about, all there is is an ignition, timing control, boost controller, and AFC. These are some components of a running car, one day in the distant future around the year 2241a.d. when project Stealth Shuttle is more than a perfectly good car that you molested and turned it into a theft recovery theme, you might have flashy lights also. ;)

Re: My project thread.

hmm, theft recovery as a theme. I can dig it. O0

Very nice. Do you just use a chop saw to cut your piping? Your pipes look really damn clean. whenever I do mine, they look all ghetty as hell.

Good stuff whitey. I've seen a mani setup like the one on your front facing turbo setup.
Usually they go to the other side

How come ther are never any after shots or videos. of the the twin turbo or the high hp turbo setup being completely finished? did you ever even finish them? what was the 100 shot like?

There was never any after shots cause I never really seen the point. I mean its the same kit just dirtier. The twin turbo kit was the kit that was actually on the car the longest. I drove back and forth to school for almost a year with that kit. I still have the manifold sitting in the garage. The downpipes and charge piping was molested to make the other kits.

I never sprayed the 100 shot, that was always my biggest regret. I put the turbos on the car before I ever got around to spraying it. Also the reason there are no videos is becuause I don't have a video camera.

I haven't touched it in a while, I just don't have the time. One of these days I'll get around to working on it. Its just a fun project so I just work on it when I feel like it so I never really set a deadline. I also keep changing stuff so thats whats taking a while, having to run a MAF really fucked me over. And also the Banshee is now going to be intercooled too.
