my new project. L@@K!!!

instead of selling my 87 teg for 500, i decided to get an 84-87 civic and swap everything over. because it's a dx, it will take some more work, but i wanted a dx. no side moldings, no sunroof, cheaper insurance, and more of a sleeper.
well i found this yesterday for 100 bucks! i was worried cuz the mileage was less than my 95! thanks to B16Drag, the carfax proved this was a clean car.
body is straight, glass is intact and best of all, the registration was current! i registered it today for $34. here's some pics. http://www.newbieforces.com/files/P8170007.jpg

hood and fender needs help.

i washed off the dust but didn't get to the inside.

OMG, that's old. If I ever got smoked by something that ugly I would probably kill myself. ;)

Nice find. Should be a super sleeper. 8)

I would love one of those or a 1st gen CRX. There's a 1st gen CRX that goes to Maple Grove and the thing looks completely stock and bounces up and down becuase of blown shocks. The thing has a downpipe running out the side and smokes more than a diesel but runs 11's. Its an awesome sight

Whatever you do keep those wheels those fuckers are BAD ASS! Really that should be a fun project. I did a 87 CRX hf with a ZC and 89 teg running rear and suspension and that little bitch would MOVE!

Have a had a few friends of mine who had those si's so we didnt have any of the conversion to fi problems. Cool cars I like the front suspension on them.

Ooh noice score. That thing's gonna be mean. There's one that frequents my local track. Boosted B16, runs mid 12's. Any more info on that silver one?

for some reason I just really hate working on those pre '88 hondas.. it's just a plain mess under the hood compared to a nice PGM-FI engine.

That's awesome! If I found one of those for $100, I'd pick it up in a heartbeat. When I was 18-19, I used to deliver Pizza for a local pizza shop in one of those. It was pretty sweet, I'd be crusing around cranking Pretty Hate Machine and racing anything that would pull up next to me, all with a pizza or 3 in the seat next to me ;) Ahh, good times..

I've never liked those cars, kinda gay lookin

Is that thing carbed? ---- man if it is your going to have to swap the entire fuel system from that teg in that thing. I cant imagne doing all the dash wiring and engine wiring either in that bucket.

Just sounds like alot of work for nothing. Your better off keeping the integra, its a nicer looking car and they drive nicer than those old civics.

Re:my new project. L@@K!!!

A friend of mine has done the d16a1 swap in an 87 crx hf(basically the same set up as your civic) and it's not easy. If you're gonna do it you better get an Si and swap that entire system in your civic. Otherwise you'll have to go out and purchase fuel lines(i have a spare set but shipping would be crazy), wiring harnesses, a pump etc. I'm telling you from experience, it's not going to be easy at all.

If you like the hatch then try to get a 1500S(early years) or an Si. YOu'll thank me later.

Sorry to burst your bubble :-X

If you do go through with it good luck and i gotta see how it comes out.
