My new project...1 cylinder, 16hp bishes

since I gave up looking for my truck keys out in the snow ::) I figure I'd post this....went up to PA this weekend and picked up this sweet go cart. ;D its a replica of thoe champ cart/sprint cars. very nice construction, full racing seat, Simpson racing harness. now the good ----...it has a built Briggs and Stratton Raptor II motor with Arc Billit rod, Dyno cam, Raptor III oversized piton (.035), billit Dyno lifers, Dyno dual springs, and stock briggs crank shaft. it runs on alcohol, makes about 16-17hp and goes about 60-70mph!!! not sure if I wanna convert it back to standard fuel, but I guess I'll decide when $3.50/gallon for methanol starts to take a toll on my wallet

first thing will be to get new intake filter, tires, a nicer exhaust and a new brake rotor. after that I think I might wanna work on the gearing EVEN more to see if I can get it to have even more top end.

and of course...me after I first locked the keys in the truck...then after getting the spare door key I proceeded to LOSE the ignition key... >:( don't ask....

Ha, i just picked up a 2000 tomos targa moped for my new 2-stroke project. DOes 32mph stock, ive already put on an aftermarket exhaust without rejettign the carb, and its up to 38 mph with no wind. My new sprocket will get me over 40. Plans are to buy a 70cc kit for it, bumping it up from 49cc's. They make tons of parts for these things, and there damn cheap too. Cool thing about mine is its street legal, dont even need a motorcycle license, or a plate. Have fun with that beast.

Me too. Maybe I'll get one with some tax money. No, nevermind, I already have too many toys, the wife won't go for that. She may relent to quad though. We'll see. Nice cart though, looks fun. I'd run regular gas, that meth is just too expensive and who needs a 100mph go-cart? Well, I guess we all need 100mph go-carts. ;D

but I think I'll have to definently convert it from alky back to a fuel setup and lose a few HP. but the 10hp shot would definently make up. I dunno though...

that kart should be good for about 50hp. my buddy makes it all the time on that exact same set-up, but with a makuni carb.

also, they make a supercharger setup for it ;)

Thats awesome. I say stick with the meth. That things gotta get tons of mileage out of a gallon. Not to mention unleaded is ~$2.00 anyways.
