my new daily beater

So I woke up today and was browsing craigslist.com and found this bad boy. 1990 Audi Quattro, AWD V8, fully loaded including:

Full leather
Dual power seats, they have power forward/back, up/down, and reclining
Front and rear heated seats, front seats have 6 different heat levels each
Baller Audi car phone, it even works with Verizon lol
4 memory adjustments for each front seat
Digital climate controll including outside temp/AC/auto climate controll
Digital MPG display, also converts to KPG
Headlight wipers
Tinted power rear view mirriors
Push button full car self diagnostic
Selectable Sport, Economy, and Manual driving modes
Sunroof, moves forward/back and has a small part that pops up, some weird ----
Pushbutton ABS on/off
CD player with 6 disk changer, factory amp in the trunk
First aid kit in rear armrest
Front and rear strut bars
Cruise controll
Ski bag, you just put your ski's in from the trunk and they slide right up the center of the car, the bag even has a small drain line on it, super baller action here I come!

I'm sure I'll find more as I drive it, its got some crazy nice options. The car has 91k original miles, runs/drives like a champ. Its a little sluggish off the line but im sure a nice overall tune-up will do it some justice along with k&n drop in, 2.75" exhaust, high flow cats and a flowmaster. Maybe squeeze a 75 shot ;D The car amazingly handles better than most cars I've owned even with nice suspension. Its a very nice freeway car and moves well above 50mph. It will get tons of new stuff in the next few days, this bad boy blue books for $5,000 in "good shape"...Id say its in VERY good shape, well maintained.....

Original Price $47,450 + options
My Price - $1,800 :o

"On sale in July 1989, Audi's new high-performance luxury "flagship" sedan challenged such logical rivals as BMW, Mercedes-Benz, and Jaguar. Exterior styling resembled Audi's 100/200 series, but only the front and front doors were shared with those models. Priced at a hefty $47,450, the V8 Quattro held a 240-horsepower, 3.6-liter aluminum V8 engine with dual overhead camshafts and four valves per cylinder. Power went through a 4-speed overdrive automatic transmission to a permanently engaged all-wheel-drive (AWD) system. Normally, engine output was split 50/50 between front and rear axles. When wheel slippage was detected, extra power would be sent to the axle with the greatest amount of traction, giving the best possible chance of getting underway properly. In extreme situations, all the power could temporarily go to either the front or rear, wherever it was most needed. This was the first Audi Quattro model with an automatic transmission, fitted with three modes: E for higher fuel economy; S for sportier performance; and M for manual operation. An automatic shift lock required that the brake pedal be applied to shift into a drive gear. Standard features included a driver's airbag, antilock brakes, 2-sided galvanized steel body panels, leather upholstery, a Bose sound system, and a cellular phone."

not bad for a daily driver. Its just a luxury car not a sports car :) I wouldn't bother trying to do go fast mods to it. even small ones. just keep it straight and enjoy having an old man pimp ride.

Get some polyester pants and nice sweater and some cool Clark Griswald shoes and you'll be set. That V8 is one hell of a workhorse. :P

Exactly my thoughts, I was amazed with all the options but then I saw the original MSRP and at almost 50 grand it better have all that stuff lol...Its not going to be my race car by any means, but I may as well let it breathe a bit better through a nice filter and exhaust, give it some new plugs and misc other small stuff. I just thought the little zex kit might be fun to hustle people on the weekend, smoke some civics with my 5 thousand pound sedan ;D

Thanks everyeone!
