My new build !

hello all i recently rebuild my k20a2 civic type r, got it rebored .5mm oversized all new pistons rings bearings. fitted a t70 turbo charge cooler and 650cc rc injectors hondata kpro and loads more. i have an issue which is putting my head away it drives 100% but from time to time when coming to a stop at lights i get a puff off oily smoke past me any ideas ?

i have the same problem with my CT26 on my Supra. my problem is that i have bad oil seals on the turbo which leaks into the exhaust and burn = puff of smoke.
i hope you don't have that as well.
Good luck

pull of the piping for the turbo and take a look. otherwise, do a leakdown test.

what ya mean by a leak down test ?? the turbo does worry me slightly beacuse its the only thing that isnt brand new ffs its a few months old the guy told me.

search leakdown test. then check piping for oil, check shaftplay in turbo

DRUMMER 10-22-2009 05:00 PM

minimal shaft play i have felt many new turbos and i know that its acceptable, i done a compression test it was fine too ffs.

valve stem seal cracked? or seals in the turbo? just a thought. see if there is oil in inter cooler piping.
