Well ive been doing this for about 5 years now, heres some random videos. Its a job you don't see every day so i thought mabey some people would be interested. i operate a bunch of sensors onboard the plane like radar, electronic support measures , million dollar cameras etc etc.
this is footage from an old school plane becuase they couldn't take video on a newer one for classification reasons, but this gives you a descent idea. we don't do alot of sub hunting anymore, we train for it, but our main role these days is Intelligence, surveillence, and recon. flying overland iraq and "other" places.

This was a new officer on the crew and to the command, and we had him out in front of the IR camera doing stupid things, we told him it was to "calibrate" the infrared on the camera, it really did nothing, we just wanted to ---- with him, hes a x marine enlisted admin kid, went to college and now a navigator on our planes,

well some people hate the military and some people love it. i can say that i love my job. the things i operate rock and the missions i do are awsome. we work hard and play hard, and im in the navy, but il never be on a ship in my life, my plane is too big. so everywhere we go we stay in resorts most of the time and make money, land on land every night and drink beer and laugh at the rest of the ground pounders and navy boat guys becuase were in hotels.
so there def. is perks, buttt i still have been to iraq and go shot at etc. and all the bullshit, but for the most part we have a pretty good life.
