that's good stuff man. The D15b has got to be probably my favorite engine

Oh and my dad has an 82 Mercedes 300TD (yep the TD stands for turbo diesel ;)) and he's put on like a half million miles on it. The first gauge cluster broke now's he's running on number 2. And no it hasn't been rebuilt or anything, original engine and turbo. Last oil change was like a year ago. His motto is, 'why change oil when your low, just add some moe'

Actually it's an OEM Mercedes filter. So I guess I hope they make some good quality ish. :P I try to keep using OEM filters as much as possible.

its a completly stock d15b I'm running a uberdata fuel managment on a p28. I'm running at around 7psi,but is leaking to 6 psi right now. I probably should replace some ---- like the oil and water pump and the timing belt.

Okay, that works. But otherwise Bosch makes the direct replacement parts for our true euro cars. Those bosch super spark plugs rock. I'm just a bosch junkie.. think it would be rice if I got a bosch window decal going across the front window?

Re:My JDM motor has lasted 1 year y0

yes that would be true rice ::) i mean what else besides brakes, plugs and a filter would you have other than bosch. I mean, if you pull up to someone and they see BOSCH across your windsheild they will be like WTF. *and then you would smoke there ass and then they would be like WTF, but in a different way* I wouldnt go for the bosch decal.

I want the JDM D15 really bad. I think the motor would make a great replacement for the D16Z, at a little less of the cost. any D16 around here, vtec or not will cost you at least 500- and thats with like 80K+ miles on it. an "under 35000 mile JDM engine for around 500 shipped to your door is not a bad way to go.

Yeah, the only Spark Plugs I put in my Benzo are Bosch, and If I were to buy them from the dealership, they would be bosch plugs anyways. So yeah bosch is good stuff, I still have a bosch oil filter for that 82 wagon in the garage, had it for like 8 years. :P

And no it will not be rice if you stick bosch on the windshield of your car, the sides or the back, it'll just be dAnGerOuS. :P

::)yeah, but that year oil filter is still doin' the job :o How Can you be sure?Because when an oil filter starts to plug up it goes into whats called bypas mode.Thats where the oil actually bypasses the filter because the pressure which is required to push it through the filter exceeds the bypass check valve. So keep up the year oil changes.Lets say it lasts 200k with oil change attitude think what it would have actually done if it has clean oil an regular change filters.LOL Just my 2 cents worth thats all.Have a good evening all.

Well it should still be doin' the job, it's still goin' and the turbo is still spoolin'? ;) That car does take a beating though, and when it gets fresh oil it feels a lot better. Shoot earlier this month I had to use it to haul stuff for schooling, and I checked the oil, that thing ate 2 quarts and still wanted more, but shiet 2 quarts of full synthetic is good enough :P. But yeah that car is great, in the last 8 years, the car has only had like 4 oil changes 8)
