Part of me wants to tell you this is the wrong forum for this...

And the other part of me wants to tell you to run it like it is, or get a different intercooler.

That's a starion core, with rewelded endtanks......

Cut the brackets, flip it and put it higher. The pipes will hold it in place. It will work perfectly fine, but it does look a little off. I used one on my EF, but it fit fine. I modded the bumper support to move it up a little.

IMO you can paint the lower portion black to disguise the extrusion.

Turblow 02-09-2006 10:13 PM

Re: My intercooler too low??? (pics)

Id paint the bottom 3 inches black, easy best fix

Re: My intercooler too low??? (pics)

Just cut the bumper, and raise it up, theres no sence in doing this twice

hotrex 02-10-2006 02:26 AM

Re: My intercooler too low??? (pics)

cut the bumper support and raise it up more, youll be sorry when you peel it like a can opener on a raised up entrance.

You definently need to cut or remove the bumper support to move that thing up. When you move it up the inlets will be too high so you'll have to turn it upside down. People that run lips are not the same. Bumpers and front lips are flexible, intercoolers aren't. Between gas station enterances, rocks, and road ---- it's only a matter of time before something happens. Not to mention that it just looks half-ass. Just because it's HMT doesn't mean you shouldn't do it right.

D-Series 02-10-2006 02:00 PM

Re: My intercooler too low??? (pics)

Yeah, im going to move it up a bit...i think im going to leave it upside down...cuz with the inlet/outlet up a bit i can still run my pipes + can keep my fog lights.

ill take some pics when its done.

Darkelvis 02-10-2006 07:06 PM

Re: My intercooler too low??? (pics)
