Cool and I hate arc as well. When I did do it the rod would always get stuck then catch ablaze as I smoke myself out of my welding cubiclue.... I hate it

If I hadn't sprayed it you would see the mess lol.
Some welds came out really good espacially the weld made on the bends, but the welds to the header flange was a mess...I think the flange was galvanised

it always makes me laugh when local kids compliment my welds on my intercooler piping. when really they're total ---- and I'm embarassed to open the hood sometimes

it looks good enough tho, and long as it doesnt crack.. who cares right? welding is an art and only gets better with practice. I've seen a lot of nice pieces done via arc. My father is a ridiculously fine welder and one thing I've learned is: never blame the equipment 99% of the time. he came over to my house once and used my shitbox Campbell Housfield 110v and turned out a fine new steel front gate for my house with it... I couldnt believe my welder did it!
