My HMT, finally finished.
I just wanted to post my lil Winter project. First though I want to thank all the wonderful vendors and information I found on HMT back last Thanksgiving or so that showed me ... it doesnt take 3000-4000 to put a 'kit' on your car. So once again thanks to Stealthmode Performance, CCA, TunerToys, Pagong (for the smokin deal on the brakes), Turbo 88 (for the nice clutch) and all the other people I bought ---- from to make it come together :)
It isnt 'finished' and 'polished' but I've been driving it around working the bugs out. This was a major overhaul and I'm just making sure suspension & braking are all in good order before romping on it too hard. As you can see its missing the BOV, which is in transit. This has probobly been a good thing since the car was parked 6mo ago with a full tank of 87 octane :) Its finaly empty.. and BOV should be here tomorrow or friday and then ... its boost time. I've been driving around with beerbongskickass' ROM and its flawless in vacuum for me. I bought this car last October. I traded a 1991 Accord LX for it actually even up... I got this car as a project only car. I have another 95 Coupe as a daily driver. Heres the setup: Chassis/Body: 1.) Pretty well gutted except for a few things, all ac/heat is gone... chassis is cut and swiss cheesed where I could. 2.) Havnt decided on wheels, would like 16" grids in black, but im cheap. Driveline: 1.) D15B7 bottom (just freshened it up a bit.. B-Series is for wienies) 2.) Z6 head (mini-me) 3.) Y8 intake manifold 4.) HF Manifold "junk yard" turbo setup, utiliziing: * Garrett T3 42/48 AR * CCA 31x6x3 intercooler * DSM 450cc injectors * TurboXS RFL BOV * Fuel managment by Uberdata * Open DP, bitches... 5.) Clutch specialties 6 puck disc w/1700psi pressure plate (unsprung hub) 6.) ARP Head Studs Suspension & Braking: 1.) Prothane master-kit 2.) Tein SS Coilovers 3.) Fastbrakes 4 piston Wilwood 12" front, rear is stock discs. 4.) All the typical bolton chassis sitffeners Interior: 1.) Heh, not much there except a cluster of guages, two seats, a wheel and a stickshift... what else do you need? 2.) Autopower 6 point is on order, but wont be here for 4-6 weeks they say. Now to the pics: I don't even wanna hear it about the bumper :) I just wanted to drive the car. I'll dremel it ASAP to make it fit over that huge IC :O http://cow.pasture.com/~bix/done/1.jpg Mmm.. wilwood http://cow.pasture.com/~bix/done/2.jpg Rear discs now! http://cow.pasture.com/~bix/done/3.jpg My ballin' wheels :P they came with the car. http://cow.pasture.com/~bix/done/4.jpg http://cow.pasture.com/~bix/done/DSCF0001.sized.jpg That upper pipe is a RevHard pipe... I got lazy and decided to spring for it. Was like 78 bucks or something like that.. comes with a Greddy BOV flange. I got a Greddy -> TurboXS RFL adapter with my BOV thats coming. http://cow.pasture.com/~bix/done/DSCF0002.sized.jpg My CCA intercooler :) http://cow.pasture.com/~bix/done/DSCF0003.sized.jpg http://cow.pasture.com/~bix/done/DSCF0004.sized.jpg Das snail. http://cow.pasture.com/~bix/done/DSCF0005.sized.jpg http://cow.pasture.com/~bix/done/DSCF0006.sized.jpg The most 'ghetto' part about my HMT it the turbo -> IC. I couldnt find anyone selling small mandrels that I needed to make a nice pipe. Plus I hate that turbo because it has a 1.5" outlet!!!!! So ASAP I'm going to replace the turbo (thinking about a Precision SC32 or whatever the smallest one is). http://cow.pasture.com/~bix/done/DSCF0007.sized.jpg Never fear, I have T bolt clamps on the way to replace those wormies. The IC -> TB is all tbolted... but they were too big for this side :( http://cow.pasture.com/~bix/done/DSCF0009.sized.jpg http://cow.pasture.com/~bix/done/DSCF0008.sized.jpg Thanks for taking the time to look! |
Re:My HMT, finally finished.
The setup looks nice and clean. The only thing i'm noticing though is the bends/elbows you used look like the ones you get at the hardware stores. If thats the case they probably wont take the heat and oil for too long.
Other than that.... happy boosting :) |
Re:My HMT, finally finished.

Re:My HMT, finally finished.
Is that stainless that you're using? And where did you get the wilwood caliper and how much?

Re:My HMT, finally finished.
Its electrical conduit from home depot, I think its just galvanized.
I got the whole used fastbrakes kit from a user on here, Pagong, for 350 bucks! Considering that ---- is like 900 new.. talk about a smoking deal. The stuff is all like new too. |
Re:My HMT, finally finished.
nice setup man. The way you did your piping looks really good. Better than mine pipings.
