Default My fun weekend... honda-tech meet and broken axle :::PICS:::

Well I decided to make the trip up to the HT meet this saturday and I brought the drag radials incase I wanted to do some racing later that night. I really had no plans except drive to the HT meet and figure out everything from there. It was a pretty fun road trip except for the whole breaking my axle part and it being a bitch to get out. Anyways here are a few pics...

On the road to Everett. It's about a 2 to 2.5 hour drive from Longview. Not really that bad of a drive if you're used to driving a lot like I am.

There's me driving and taking pictures of myself. I know I need to smile, but I was trying to drive and my camera sucks.

Hey look who decided to ride along! Mary decided to just carpool with me so I wouldn't be so lonely on the road.

I saw this thing a mile away and just had to get a picture. I can't believe somebody would do that to car... poor Mustang

Whoever decided to meet at Alki Beach first and then go to Marymoor Park obviously didn't plan it very well. We were there maybe 40 minutes and the cops showed up threatened to write us all tickets if we didn't leave. Apparently we were park in an area where you need a boat... I asked a few people for a boat to hook up to my car, but nobody had one I could borrow I guess.

Here's a picture of the cop and his cop car that was blocking the road. I slowed down to take the picture and he had to be a smart *** and said... "You want me to smile for the camera?" I said... "Sure why not!"

Okay, now I had directions, but they weren't too clear so I just followed all the cars with stickers, body kits, and wings, but I got to one point and everybody split so I had no idea where to go. I ended up taking a wrong turn though and got lost, but I finally ended up getting to Marymoor Park. I am blaming the getting lost on my co-pilot... just kidding Mary.

I saw this guy with a bike leaving so I asked him to do a burnout, but he wouldn't do one (I guess he was doing them earlier before I showed up). I asked him again and said I would give him 2 bucks for a burnout and he said okay to that lol. I felt I only got a dollars worth though. I was hoping for a circle burnout or something cool, but he just sat there and made some smoke... still a pretty good burnout though.

I didn't think I showed up that late, but I wasn't too impressed with the HT meet. I remember seeing pictures of the last one where Jeff & Beau were cooking burgers. No food at this meet though. Here are all the HMT cars lined up and a few engine bay pictures.

Dustin (TurboHF)

Jay (?)

Beau (BLACKSI)

Jeff (Abaz)

Pat (beerbongskickass)

Bill (chevy)

The HMT crew.

After the meet we headed to Red Robin. Here's a picture of Steve (88dx) Josh (Turboaccord4dr) and Jay. Oh, Jay ran a 12.84 in his Turbo ZC CRX that day by the way. I wanted to confirm this so I decided to race him on the freeway and yes his car is defintely faster than mine (Let's see the video!)

For some reason when Jeff is around food it's always funny. Here is a picture of him trying to get the lime in his corona.

Taste good Jeff?

Who needs to wash there hands HA!

We went driving around later that night and I decided to do some cookies. Let's just say I should have learned my lesson when Jeff broke his axle. That's Beau in the Joe Dirt ZC towing me to his house if you can't tell haha. I bet that was a pain in the *** especially with an un-sprung race clutch lol. Thanks again for all the help guys.

Here we are at Jack in the box. I had a number 8. :P

Before I headed back home Mary and I decided to stop at Denny's for some food.

She made me a cool little thing out of a napkin too!

So, on the road again.

This looked like a pretty bad wreck. The car was on its side and I think that's the seat on the divider there. I hope nobody got hurt too bad.

Okay now I saw this car with a hood scoop a mile behind me. It got closer and I could see blue flames. I am thinking no problem it's a stock mustang. Oh boy was I wrong. We raced a few times and it wasn't pretty. This thing above 100 mph pulled so hard I couldn't believe it. I didn't have a chance.

The End

It's good to see all the picture threads going up on this site, I should have 2 "how not to" articles coming up, and I think I might just take you guys on a tour of a day in my life sometime in the near future.

in the first parking lot you rice boys really need to learn how the hell to park, ------- ridiculous.

Defintely a good weekend. I think I am going to go on more un-planned roads trips. Yeah I know I owe you guys (Jeff & Beau) and thanks again. I also owe Leia for that strawberry smoothie too. Anytime any of you all need a place to stay in the Longview area your more than welcome to stay at my house.

I wish I would have taken more pictures though, like maybe some pictures of my axle in a million pieces lol. I can't believe how stuck that axle was. I was begining to think we were never going to get it out. Basically I just attempted to do a few cookies and it didn't go so well. I was heading towards a curb and had to hit my brake pretty hard. Sounded like my wheel fell off, but it was my axle.

Yeah I am really starting to like the d-series. I defintely need to get another Z6 block to build up though. The stock Z6 is awesome, but just not enough.
