That's actually the first thing I thought, but didn't want to be mean. It's probably the typical person unsure about the ugliness of their girlfriend so they show it around saying it's their friend's to see how people react.

Actually he choose here because shes a bitch to her boyfriends friends, and wanted some agreement with the fact that she has nothing going for her. Instead of describing why he posted it I guess it was just more fun this way.

I agree that she has nothing going for her. Or at least very little. (She might be totally sweet in person, funny as hell, a great cook, and a wild woman in thre sack!)
