My friend's car has been in the shop for 8 months *Need Legal Advice*
My friend brought his 96 eclipse gst in to this shop to get a 1g block on his 2g head with the 16g. I told him to let me do it and never ever to bring his car to a shop.
that was 8 months ago, about 4 he got it back, and it blew up that day completely, the shop blamed it on the engine company SlowBoy and tried to get more money from him.
He declined and stopped payment on the credit card and they said they would finish it. The owner gave my friend his Acura legend that had "headwork" done to drive for the time bieng.\
that was 4 months ago. the Acura blew up only a couple weeks after driving it and now it has been 8 months, and he still has no car.
he drove by the shop today to see what was going on, and the car has been sitting and the engine still not in it.
it has been sitting and is caked with bird poop all over the paint and looks like ----.
Any advice as to what legal options he has here?

so wat did they ---- up did they install the motor wrong?? or did they just put the head on the block and the 16g on?? im not sure you can do anything unless they assymbled the part that actually broke..i dont know man thats pretty ---- that its taken 8 months but i know from experiance that when a shop is doing a job that there not making money on they usually either take there sweet as time or dont do it at all..

Shitty spot but you have to realize time is your enemy. If you can get a reputable shop to determine that the original shop caused the failure you could take them to court. But if there is no proof that the installers were at fault and not the suppliers then you are screwed.Slowboys will blame the install, the garage will blame the parts and in the end you will get no where.
