Maybe the guy in the DSM was a horrible driver? how fast can a honda be at 4psi or whatever you said? Don't b16a civics run high 15's? I dunno if 4 psi could make enough power to beat a mid 14 sec. TSi. im not trying to talk ---- though.

Re:my first boosted race!!
I wasnt hating...Geez... we have to crank up the boost high to make power because we have pretty low compression, unlike a N/A motor.

Nick as far as my timeslip. it was the first time i had drag raced so my launches sucked! my stock clutch was toast, i was running 6lbs. on a rich/retarded tune. now, enought of the excuses ::) reaction time - .6664 60ft. - 2.4802 1/8 et - 9.8169 1/8 mph - 77.67 1/4 et - 14.76 1/4 mph - 97.76 my clutch was slipping so bad! and my launches were shitty, but i beat 2 5.0's, an older z28, all n/a imports except for an ls/vtec rex. my highest trap was 100 mph, what do you think my times would be with a good clutch. i'm also going to be running 10 lbs. and will be tuned by the next time i race, i'm shooting for high 12's, what do ya think? |
Re:my first boosted race!!
nice job kev! I bet with some practice and a good cluch you'll hit high 13's
|
Re:my first boosted race!!
Yeah, i know a kid runnign a gsr 93 civic hb, and ran 13.7 at 99mph on drag radials. SO, i think , with 10 lbs, you should be low 13's with nice traction and a clutch.
